Do you bring a Bible or a tablet to church?

    Yeah, I bring a Bible-- not sure why, because the referenced verses are projected on the screen. Maybe, rarely, I will look up a passage in its greater context.
    I don't bring that pad of bound papers with the red cover with an injun on it (or did you mean something else?).

    Until this summer, I took a Bible, but now I take my iPad.

    It allows me to figure out whose sermon the preacher is preaching. :).

    I do both. iPad sometimes and Bible sometimes. iPad is more distracting so a Bible is preferred. But the iPad is usually lighter, unless I bring my compact Bible.

    I always have my phone with me but I prefer my paper Bible. I have notes and added more even today. :) But if for some reason I forgot to add my Bible to my "Sunday bag", at least I have my phone!

    Less distracting that way. A tablet can be very distracting, especially if the church has WIFI.

    I prefer a paper Bible, but if my schedule/duties includes much running around I'll just use my phone.

    I bring a Bible with me to church.
    I don't have a tablet. Also, I believe it is a witness when people walk into church carrying a Bible.

    If you were out witnessing its a better testimony and far cheaper to use a paper bible, especially when open air preaching. Also they sell compact bibles which can fit in the pocket.

    A phone? You must have the iPhone + model which is bigger than the regular size. For me the regular size is just too small to read from, so its far easier using a iPad.

    Notice I said its far easier using a iPad and I get far more screen estate. I use the iPad Mini 4 (upgraded from my 2 the other week).

    I disagree. I think most people - especially younger people - "get" the digital versions and it would be an equal testimony because it is not the device or the book but the Word of God that is powerful.

    Try easily turning between pages and passages with a digital bible, and then trying doing so with a compact bible. Its far easier and I get far more because I carry around a NIV Compact reference which has references, maps, and tables.

    Especially effective when open air preaching.

    A witness or a pointless tradition. Not sure which. You could bring a scroll. We need a copy of Gods Word. Format is simply preference.

    I continue to bring my "hard copy" Bible to church - and elsewhere.

    I suppose I am just old fashion - and just used to it - seems a lot easier for me.
