All 3 kids have them and have traveled abroad.
My wife and I never had the need.
Some day... Israel,
...and perhaps a visit to Ireland to visit C4K and see the Chester Beatty Greek manuscripts.
My greatest hope is to visit New Jerusalem but I'm a naturalized citizen and won’t need a passport. :tongue3:

I got my first passport in 1997, when I was 60 years old. Don't know why I waited so long.

I have never needed a passport before, but if I want to take another Canadian fishing trip, I will have to get one.

I feel the same way, but I am not as old as you. :D

Applied and received my first passport when I was 29. The first trip out of the country was to Brazil to visit my wife's college room mate, Betty. Her parents were missionaries to Brazil. After College Betty returned to Brazil. She could have stayed here, butr she was Brazilian in that is where she grew up.
Currently using my 6th passport.
I find the old passports an interesting record of how my looks have changed. -
I have never had a passport and never needed one. The only time I have been outside this country was when I went to Canada at age 21 with a friend and when I went to England shortly after that the same year--compliments of the US Air Force. No passport was needed either time.

My current passpaort is a result of a short term mission trip to India where I preached in a crusade across two regions covering 11 remote villages.
