I'm waiting for them to lower the price. When it's as cheap as FM then I will give it a listen.

Its not really free, the stations depend on the advertisers, and the advertisers depend on the listeners to patronize them.

So the next time you buy something at a store that advertises on a station you listen to, make sure you let the manager know.
This is very important for Christian Radio stations.

I have it becuase our family likes CCM, and there's no CCM in our area. We're not real happy with it, but it's better than nothing. I also like Fox news, and XM carries it.

It is interesting what you will find on XM
If you want 60's, 70's, 80,s 40's 30's music or jazz or Gospel music you can find it.
I am listening to Bluegrass Junction with mandolin in hand at present.

I listen to Bluegrass Junction, and Willie's place. Also, I get to listen to my beloved Red Sox on WEEI during home games. XM picks up every MLB game, and broadcasts from the home station. I would miss a lot of games if not for XM.

Stations may depend on advertisers, but I still do not nor plan on paying for free radio, and I also do not buy from their commercials, who can afford it. It's a waste of money.

There are many XM stations in our DirectTV package. I turn on Escape sometimes but it drives the rest of my family crazy. :tongue3:

They could've named it Easy Listening. It's not quite as hum drum as elevator music, but not far from it. Then again, to escape is probably why we listen to it!

    Ya, Thats what I said.

Until I bought a new car with a 3 month trial for free. When I got the car I said, "I will just enjoy for the three months then go back to the radio"

3 months later while driving down the road the XM went dead. I was on my phone giving my credit card number before I even got home. Well worth the $10 a month.

Yup. Some of us feel that free radio is worth every penny. I actually feel overcharged. XM is well worth the 6.95 a month. I may even get rid of my cable TV.
