A news report from the Netherlands points to a form of theological insanity that is spreading far beyond the Dutch. Ecumenical News International reports that church authorities in the Netherlands have decided not to take action against a Dutch pastor who openly declares himself to be an atheist.

The insanity that is happening in so many mainline churches makes no sense to me. The guy is able to ethically pick up a paycheck? What does he do to celebrate any of the ordinances?
It'd be like going to a doctor who doesnt believe in an medical treatments. So stupifying. -

I had a pastor once who did not believe in God. He was a Pelagian United Methodist who was married to a Buddhist woman. He saw no problems with that.
He was also the one who told me that God had no answers for me (us) when we lost our 2nd child. His answers caused me to curse God and His church and turn from them. Thank God, that was not the end of the story. God came looking for me and I've since found pastors who do believe in God, myself included!
