I don't always agree with him but I do respect him. He's on the frontlines trying to champion causes relating to families.
And I don't think I'm afraid of psychology, but I'm wary of it.

I don't think anyone is afraid of psychology;
just errant psychology. Obviously, I don't care
for Dobson, for many of his tactics, or for
some of the things he has done. I have found
him to be immeasurably arrogant and unable
to face his own faults. This is fed by people
who have made the man into a little god, but
this, perhaps, is not his fault.
Regardless, the man has done some good
things, in my opinion. For example, I remember
when protestant churches were preaching that
"abortion is a Catholic (or political) issue, and
its place is not in the church." Dobson stood
up to them and worked the believing public
into a frenzy that put many of these pastors in
their rightful places, forcing the issue into the
churches. -
He is a "friend" in that he is a believer in Christ. But with friends like this.....
