Ed Edwards:
Sorry to respond to your post over here, but Catholics have been asked not to respond on the “other” thread.
There is no conspiracy by “Papists” to keep information about the existence of the East Syrian (Nestorian) from becoming general knowledge. Here is the history of the East Syrian (Nestorians) from New Advent Catholic Encyclopedia. It starts about three quarter down the article.

Thank you. </font>
So now we're bargaining?
So as to be clear, I'm not offended by "Papist." I just think it's silly and juvenile, like walking around with pencils up your nose. It makes me snicker. If that's how you want the Catholics here to view your posts, then don't change a thing. -
Where do they get these things___ Jack Chick comic books?

I wouldn't be surprised if Jack someday gives online doctorate degrees in anti-Catholicism to those who read so many enchicklicals. :D -

I wrote two paragraphs.
Of course, i read comics instead of books
I can see it now:
Dr. Ed Edwards, PHD
Pretty Heavenly Dude, now i've got doctor
of Chickology :D -
I haven't read enough of them to qualify yet. I can't get past the scary pictures of the Catholics with big hook noses.

God Bless </font>
I see in my dictionary
that "papist" is ofensive. Sorry, my bad.
I will not use the term "catholic" by itself,
for it is applicable to many denominations,
which denominations we are discussing.
Can i use "follower of the Bishop of Rome"?
-
Hi, Ed Edwards:
Papist implies that we worship the Pope instead of Jesus Christ. Since Catholics don't worship the Pope or anyone but God Himself, this is offensive and inaccurate. If you want to refer to Catholics as followers of the Bishop of Rome be my guest. It is a mouthful though, and you may get some, surprising to you, confessions of faith in Jesus Christ that you don’t really want to hear.
God Bless
