Google "Ed Young scandal" and see what you get. I don't think the non-Cals would be defending him if they did.

By the way, I don't mind listening to those who teach against Calvinism as long as they use scripture to do it with. It is the way he did it that should rub all of us the wrong way. ( and yes, I would like to think I would be consistent if the roles were reversed).

Well, as long as our "Calvinist brethren" will selectively edit the entirey of his sermon....we have no concrete idea what it was he was saying....it's no problem, they do it all the time....There would be far fewer of them, if they were an honest lot.

Of course, he wasn't trying to make a "Biblical case" against "Calvinism" per se...he was warning only about the perceived dangers, at least in his Point of view about what certain consequences might be...and he gave (a very limited) number of examples.....Your next objection? Then, again.....you haven't heard the entire sermon either, as I have not, as no Calvinist here has bothered to try to furnish it....why would they? There is no interest, none, whatsoever, in exploring the sum total of ALL of what he was attempting to convey here. It does NOT, serve Cal purposes to link all of it....they would only want you to hear what the "Puritan Board" group wants you to hear, and they "want" you to hear what they posted....and what I assume the Almighty James White responded to, no more, no less.

 

Those 12 minutes of rant is what needed to be focused upon. He disgraced the pulpit.

It was clearly unacceptable preaching...He should have been able to do a much better job at trashing the Determinist' agenda.

 

It was bad enough to be exposed to 12 minutes of this fraud.Who would want to listen to anything he has to say. Why would anyone want to furnish anything. he offered no exposition of any text, just his own ignorant musings.

 

He would ,if he could, but he can't. Just like you Benjamin.....you cannot begin to address the issue scripturally. Instead you attempt to speak condescendingly to any who have come to these truths.
