It's a gowing area of ministry for countries where missionaries as missionaries can't get in.
At Home, I see it as a viable means of reaching folks who wouldn't otherwise come through the doors. -

Many missionaries in Japan teach ESL, and I've known more than one Japanese pastor who was saved because of their interest in English. We ourselves have seen some saved through teaching ESL. My wife teaches a few ladies and children nowadays, but I'm not teaching anyone at present--I have a few projects I'm working on.
Having said that, the guy who brings drinking water to our church machine is interested in English, and I may teach him some starting this summer. We had a little jam session with my guitar the first time he came by. He performs Beatles songs at a bar downtown, and wants to learn better English for that as well as visit America someday. So this may be an opportunity.
