You are confusing many things. The book of Daniel mentions several instances of "abomination of desolation", which means a temple desecration. One instance of an abomination of desolation by the Greeks, through Antiochus Epiphanes, who sacrificed pigs at the temple. Then another instance of an abomination of desolation occured by the Romans, through Titus, which is why the Messiah said, when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies and the abomination of desolation, then flee Jerusalem, because its destruction was coming, which happened through Titus, as prophesied in Daniel that the Romans would do. Then the 1,290 years another abomination of desolation appeared, as the Dome of the Rock, 1,290 years after one instance sacrifices ceased in 600 BC around the first destruction of the temple by the Babylonians. These are all historical facts in correlation with prophecy.
THE abomination of desolation will be when the antichrist goes into the new temple the Jews will build in Jerusalem, set up his statue in it, & declare himself to be God.
No, that was already fulfilled through Titus, hence "when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies AND the abomination of desolation, then those who are in Judea flee to the mountains", because Jerusalem was about to be destroyed. And at that time Titus was exalted as a god by his soldiers at the temple, for the Romans worshiped their emperors as gods, which is historically registered by Flavius Josephus,
The Romans upon the flight of the seditious into the city, and upon the burning of the set-apart house itself, and of all the buildings lying round about it, brought their ensigns to the Temple, and set them over against its eastern gate; and there did they offer sacrifices to them, and there did they make Titus imperator, with the greatest acclamations of joy The Wars of the Jews by Flavius Josephus, Book 6, 6:1
The AOD did NOT occur then. Remember, Daniel was told the KING would SET UP the AOD in the temple. The actions ascribed to this king, Paul's "man of sin", & the "beast from the sea" in Revelation shows all are referring to the SAME ONE MAN.
Titus was not the king. His father, Vespasian, was Caesar (king) then. Titus didn't enter the temple, nor declare himself to be God. The TRUE antichrist won't recognize any god but himself; Titus worshipped the Roman pantheon of gods/goddesses, repairing several of their shrines when he became Caesar.
And again, the AOD will be done by the REAL penultimate antichrist (Satan is the ultimate AC) by his entering the temple the Jews will build in Jerusalem, setting up his statue, and, aided by his sidekick the false prophet (the beast from the earth) declaring himself God. Obviously, this hasn't yet happened, as the Jews haven't yet built a new temple. (But they certainly have plans to build it !)
Titus later became emperor, so he was indeed the ruler of Rome that exalted himself at the temple. It is historical fact that the temple was desecrated by the Romans, hence the writings of Joseph. You are rejecting historical fact in favor of fantasies.
It's interesting that so many Christians are trying to recreate situation in the first century AD, while ignoring the numerous timing indicators that tell us the first century, and also ignoring the impossibility of recreating that situation.
Daniel says the "prince" (or ruler below a king) will destroy the temple and the city.
Daniel doesn't say a king.
Vespasian was Caesar 9 years past the destruction of the temple, dying in AD 79. Only then did Titus become Caesar.
He did NOT enter the temple, as more than one historian has stated, & he certainly didn't declare himelf to be God. Nor did he have a false prophet as a sidekick. Nor did he issue any "mark of the beast".
You're still 'WAY short of showing us he committed the AOD ! And you'll STAY 'way short cuz he simply didn't do it, & he wasn't the "beast".
"Prince" is an English word, which means ruler. The Messiah is also called the "prince" in the book of Daniel, because he was appointed to become the ruler of the heavens and the earth. Titus did indeed not only destroy the temple, but also committed an abomination there.
No, he said "the prince of the PEOPLE...".
And Daniel 9 says he shall SET UP the AOD. Titus did no such thing, and no desolation was poured out on him. He ruled the Roman empire in honor for about 2 years before dying of a fever.
Josephus tells us differently, implying that there at the temple site Titus was worshiped. The context of the "abomination of desolation" of Daniel is the destruction of Jerusalem, which is why the Messiah said, "when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies AND the abomination of desolation, then flee, because its destruction is nigh". The second beast of Revelation pertains to another time, which symbolizes the United States of America. And the mark of the beast symbolizes paper money and fiat currency, which most in the world already have, which has been promulgated to the world through the USA, the true "false prophet" of Revelation. Josephus was not a very reliable play-by-play reporter, being careful in his narratives to not write anything that might upset Vespasian & cost him his head. And I doubt if Titus was worshipped, as his men knew he was also a man, and Titus certainly didn't DEMAND to be worshipped.
The 2nd beast will be one man, a sidekick of the first, & the marka the beast will be a literal mark of some kind, most-likely some sorta microchip.
You have quite an imagination, but you don't know history too well, nor have you studied Scripture CLOSELY, with an open mind. You've invented some notions & tried to make Scripture fit them.
