Anyone us this method of witnessing. I'm talking about just passing them out to random people on the street.

I read your other post about sending letters to friends & c. I appreciate your zeal to share the Gospel. I do not discourage or caste a negative light on that effort, nor will I discredit it at all. You do as you feel your heart is telling you to do here. Who knows, if it is God, and you send even one letter to the right person at the right time who needs to trust Christ as Savior, and that person, or persons does just that.
God bless you in your endeavor for Him.

Milby,
I've been doing some of this lately. We're going through "The Way Of The Master" Basic Training Course at my church...learning how to share our faith. I haven't gotten up the nerve to start up a conversation with strangers yet, but I have gone to Walmart and handed out tracts to folks in the parking lot and in the store. This may not be the "best" way to share the gospel, but I look at it this way: It's more than I WAS doing. -

I use them constantly. My suggestion is to get tracts that have a good, full gospel message, and are interesting. Not a big fan of "Chick" tracts (though I am not bashing people that use them...).
My favorite is the "Get out of Hell Free" Card...
If you are into witnessing, you can sign up here for the Bezeugen Tract Club. They will send you enough tracts to give out 1/day every month, absolutely free. They give you a nice variety, and are constantly coming out with new tracts. I really like their traacts, too. They are glossy (water resistant) and credit card sized, so they fit in your wallet...

tracts
It's been awhile since I've had them, but Ray Comfort [Living Waters ministry] had some interest generating tracts.
Witnessing to people closer to us may be harder than handing a tract to a stranger. For those who are of the generation that still reads but is quickly passing away, this resource has been appealing to them:
"If they are a believer, they will appreciate further the gospel message underlying what took place. If, however, they are not a believer, you will be handing them a 96 page gospel tract!"

If you would like some tracts, our ministry offers several different tracts in English and Spanish! We would love for you to hand them out!
Just place your order on our Free Literature page here, and we will get them right out to you!
God Bless!
