So I'm not a subscriber to political correctness. I never state that I hate the sinner, never. Queer is a perfectly legitimate and acceptable name, and it releases me from having to repeat 'sodomite'.
As far as me being susceptable to the fires of hell...impossible..cannot happen.
You are a comfortable True Christian (tm) and there is no talking to you.
HUH??? Yeah, nice talking to you also......???

There is a word for that. -

Your done?
What I do know is simple, I pray that you and everyone here might know Jesus as I know Jesus, except for these chains. When you know Jesus like I know Jesus, all that you can do is tell people about Him AND the coming judgment.
I do not want to see anyone burn in Hell - even if you think that they are "____'s". -
This "I'm holier than you" moment has been brought to you by Johnson Neck Starch, the starch for people who want that extra-stiff neck.

Growing up in the Deep South, I've noticed that slurs often reveal nothing more holy than a deep-seated fear. -
But, just remember that if someone's sin is offensive to God - that someone had better get clean by the Blood of the Lamb . . . it is clean or burn.
And yes, that word is much more descriptive of what the lifestyle is. Just as we used to consider drunkenness a sin, we used to consider homosexuality a sin. -

We need repentance. Clear and simple.

Well, at least queer is better than fag.
Seriously, why the big deal? Just because someone finds the word offensive doesn't mean the word should be offensive.
I'm sure there are people who find the following words offensive:
fat, black, redneck, oriental, gay, nazi, fascist, liberal, ignoramus, assinine, etc, etc, etc.
...but, we continually see these words used on the BB. Why not the outcry over these?
I think people are too PC on these issues.
My mother uses the word queer, always has, and I can guarantee you that she does not use it in a derogatory way. In her time, that's what they were called.
I don't think people will be happy until we stop applying any labels whatsoever to people.
Signed,
The big, fat redneck. -
Let us, in the spirit of Magnetic Poles, reconstruct your post using different terms:
"My mother uses the word n*gg*r, always has, and I can guarantee you that she does not use it in a derogatory way. In her time, that's what they were called."

How'd I know you were going to write that?
My grandmother uses that word when referring to black people. Again, it is not meant as derogatory and it's what they were called in her time. Many of her neighbors growing up were black. Her family was poor sharecroppers, the same as them. I do not think a thing of it when she says it, though my mother doesn't like it...I think it embarasses her more than anything. The only reason I don't call them that is because I was not brought up calling them that. I was, however, brought up calling them black, which is why I do not use the term African-American, which is still even more PC nowadays.
People are too touchy about such things when there are much more important issues out there to deal with.Click to expand...
African Americans do not like being called the n-word. I don't care if your granny uses it, and if you think she means nothing by it. It is simply a derogatory word, a racial slur, and if the only reason you don't say it is because you never developed the habit, then "redneck," in the worst possible sense of the term, is an apt description.
Words mean things. Don't believe me? Go up to a group of African American males and use the n-word in conversation. If you have time before your teeth get shoved down your throat, try and explain that you don't man anything by it, that your granny uses the term, and so on. Good luck with that.Click to expand... -
[FONT=Courier, Courier New] How many years can a mountain exist
Before it's washed to the sea?
Yes, 'n' how many years can some people exist
Before they're allowed to be free?
Yes, 'n' how many times can a man turn his head,
Pretending he just doesn't see?
The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind,
The answer is blowin' in the wind.
