in Brooklyn stairwell was texting union rep as victim lay dying

In the six and a half minutes after Peter Liang discharged a single bullet that struck Gurley, 28, he and his partner couldn't be reached, sources told the Daily News. And instead of calling for help for the dying man, Liang was texting his union representative. What's more, the sources said, the pair of officers weren't supposed to be patrolling the stairways of the Pink Houses that night.

Based solely on that article, my opinion is that the officer should get negligent homicide.

I would look for a better news source than the Daily News.

    "Sources said." " Sources said"

When the "sources" identify themselves, I'll pay closer attention.

On the surface, if all the "sources" are to be believed, there is no doubt the shooting was accidental. What is questionable appears to be the officers behavior after the shooting.

We'll see. I'm sure this one will blow up and when all the cameras and news people are gathered, Sharpton will show up again. Then we'll get another no comment comment from our liar-in-chief.

And the race baiting circus will continue.

And not if it's an unarmed white man?

    Affirmative action trials, now?
