    Oxytocin article

While oxytocin and it's effects aren't exactly new findings, for some reason they've chosen to run an article on it now.

The article itself though is an interesting comment on our world and the mindset people have.

Who needs God when we can find healing, trust, and good natures from a bottle? Let's market a cocktail of oxytocin, amitryptiline, add a dash of caffeine and a sprinkle of poppy flavoring and sell it for $19.95 a bottle?

These types of findings have their place, but the overmarketing of emotional control is very sad.

I hadn't heard of this hormone. I don't understand exactly what you're objecting to in the article - that they're testing the emotional effects?

As for marketing, who knows? So far, it seems to be sold only to physicians to induce the second stage of labor, induce lactation and control postpartum hemorrhaging (link).
