Lets start a list of your favorite college fight songs. Obviously my favorite is The Victors, Michigan's fight song.
Hail! to the victors valiant
Hail! to the conqu'ring heroes
Hail! Hail! to Michigan
the leaders and best
Hail! to the victors valiant
Hail! to the conqu'ring heroes
Hail! Hail! to Michigan,
the champions of the West!
I also like Tennessee's Rocky Top Though I guess that is not their offical fight song.

My favorite :
University of Arkansas Fight Song:
Hit that line! Hit that line! Keep on going,
Move that ball right down the field!
Give a cheer. Rah! Rah! Never fear. Rah! Rah!
Arkansas will never yield!
On your toes, Razorbacks, to the finish,
Carry on with all your might!
For it’s A-A-A-R-K-A-N-S-A-S for Arkansas!
Fight! Fight! Fi-i-i-ght! -
Wooooooooooo pig sooie!!!!!!!

My mom tells me that the first two songs I ever learned to sing were "Bei Mir Bist du Schoen" and the Auburn fight song.
War Eagle, fly down the field.
Ever to conquer, never to yield.
War Eagle, fearless and true,
Fight on you orange and blue. (Go! Go! Go!)
On to vict'ry, strike up the band.
Give 'em hell, Give 'em hell,
Stand up and yell, (Hey!)
War Eagle, win for Auburn,
Power of Dixie Land!
Our Alma Mater isn't bad, either:
On the rolling plains of Dixie
'Neath its sun-kissed sky,
Proudly stands, our Alma Mater
Banners high.
To thy name we'll sing thy praise,
From hearts that love so true,
And pledge to thee our
Loyalty the ages through.
We hail thee, Auburn, and we vow
To work for thy just fame,
And hold in memory as we do now
Thy cherished name.
Hear thy student voices swelling,
Echoes strong and clear,
Adding laurels to thy fame
Enshrined so dear.
From thy hallowed halls we'll part,
And bid thee sad adieu;
Thy sacred trust we'll bear with us
The ages through.
We hail thee, Auburn, and we vow
To work for thy just fame,
And hold in memory as we do now
Thy cherished name.
You can hear both of them here:

I thought it was "A beer, Mr. Shane".

Rocky Top is classic.
The best is probably ND's... even though I hate the team. -
You mean Norter Dames'? I hate them too.

"On Wisconsin" but only because my high school used the chorus as its fight song.

Actually Georgia Tech has one of the best fight songs - "Ramblin' Wreck from Georgia Tech." (I just wish we still had the teams to go with it.)
"Oh if I had a daughter sir
I'd dress her in white and gold
And put her on the campus
To cheer the brave and bold.
But if I had a son sir
I'd tell what he'd do
He would yell to **** with Georgia
Like his daddy used to do.
Oh if I had a barrel of rum
And sugar three thousand pounds
A college bell to put it in
A clapper to stir it 'round
I'd drink to all good fellows
Who come from far and near
I'm a ramblin', gamblin'
**** of an enginer!" -
The best fight song of course is from Texas A&M!
The Aggie War Hymn
Good-bye to texas university
So long to the Orange and the White
Good luck to dear old Texas Aggies
They are the ones that show the real old fight
“The eyes of Texas are upon you...”
That is the song they sing so well (Sounds like Heck)
So good-bye to texas university
We're going to beat you all to
Chig-gar-roo-gar-rem
Chig-gar-roo-gar-rem
Rough! Tough! Real Stuff! Texas A&M
“Saw Varsity's Horns Off”
(Normally follows the singing of The Aggie War Hymn) - all the fans link arms and sway
Saw Varsity's horns off!
Saw Varsity's horns off!
Saw Varsity's horns off!
Short!
Varsity's horns are sawed off!
Varsity's horns are sawed off!
Varsity's horns are sawed off!
Short!
YOu can listen to it here: http://sports.tamu.edu/index_full.php?pageID=219&CAT=TRD -
Michigan has the best. Of course, I am a Michigan fan living in Columbus of all places. I think OSU's song is good, too. The Big Ten + Notre Dame (who should join the Big Ten) have the best fight songs, just like the Big Ten is the best conference as stated on another thread.

Andy, how on earth do you survive down there- isn't there air hard to breath? :D
Would you do me a favor and spit on the ground out there for me. :D ;) -
Actually, the air has thinned out a little down here, since we are a few years removed from their National Championship.
It was unbearable during the Cooper years. I like Tressel (professing Christian) and so does the local media, for now. A few more 9-3 seasons and they'll be treating him like Cooper and Bruce, though. -
FYI, I am an Ohio boy by birth and Lord willing, for life. My Dad was born and raised in Pontiac, Michigan. As a way to honor my father, I have stayed loyal to Michigan sports teams. Other than that, I would never dream of leaving Ohio.

You certainly are an odd fish- but at least a like Michigan sports teams.

Andy, and don't forget to remind them that their "national championship" is tainted at best.
-
Actually, I rooted for OSU in that game. This probably makes me an even odder fish than 4HisGlory suspected.
And being a FriendofSpurgeon and PCA, you should know that OSU was destined to win, right? ;) -

Of course. (Still don't like it though.)
