Dake’s, I love his footnotes in defense of passages such as Mark16:9-20; John 7:53-8:11; and I John 5:7.

Currently, I have several favorite study bibles.

    KJV
Henry Morris Study Bible -- Literal.
Companion Bible (1922, 1999, Kregel)) -- Notes and appendixes.
Foundation Study Bible -- Simple, to the point.

    NKJV
NKJV Study Bible -- Conservative, straight forward.
Wiersbe Study Bible -- Conservative, warm and friendly.

    NIV
Life Application Study Bible -- Apply the text to my life.
Cultural Backgrounds Study Bible -- Relationship of Bible texts to other cultures.

    RSV
New Oxford Annotated Study Bible, 2nd edition, 1977 -- Closest to what I used is college 50 years ago.

As I picked and examined every study bible in my bookcase, I found the above an interesting exercise. I kept asking myself: Why did I add each study bible to my bookcase. But the above are the eight study bibles I find myself using the most.

Now what to do with the other study bibles?

be very careful on that Bible, as that is the very Bible that many of the heretic WoF teachers use, as they got their theology from his notes!
