Here is one version of the pledge of allegiance to the Christian flag found on the internet: "I pledge allegiance to my flag and the Savior for whose kingdom it stands; one brotherhood uniting all mankind in service and love."
No. They are supposed to be disciples of Christ. One can only be aligned with the Kingdom of God in discipleship. To claim allegiance to the Kingdom of God outside of discipleship is foolishness.Do Christians proclaim allegiance to Christ's kingdom?
On the other hand - show me in the NT where we are prohibited from using banners. Please show me in the NT where we are to use banners
NE in the NT ever had AC, ect...Jesus taught both in the synagogues and in the Temple. The New Testament church met in various places, both indoors and outdoors.Or if we go by your belief - then we should not have church buildings - Jesus was content to preach to the 5,000 outside -
Your objection is man made, I already quoted the verse that tells us to do so.Because Scripture does not tell us to do so
it is man made
but what about the ACJesus taught both in the synagogues and in the Temple. The New Testament church met in various places, both indoors and outdoors.

Utter nonsense. Allegiance to a flag just symbolizes allegiance to what the flag represents. The version I was raised with reads this way:
"I pledge allegiance to the Christian flag, and to the Savior for whose Kingdom it stands; one brotherhood uniting all Christians in service and love."
We shouldn't be pledging allegiance to a symbol ("... the Christian flag..."), nor should we be placing it on equal standing with Jesus ("...and the Savior..."). Our allegiance must only be to Christ, not whoever is waving a flag or claiming they represent the Kingdom of God.

You may not realize this, but ancient buildings were built to be as comfortable as possible in terms of temperature control. Buildings had breezeways, certain types of roofing materials, and used stone and fabric for insulation and thermal regulation. Air conditioning is just a modern version of doing the same thing with modern designs.but what about the AC
You post taint so, because you do not believe truth. And note this poster claims post #16 was not biblical.you quote something that is not biblical
Saying "utter nonsense" does not make it so.Utter nonsense.
Then why have a flag in the first place? Just pledge allegiance to Christ. Of course, the pledge states specifically that one is pledging "allegiance to the Christian flag AND to the Savior for whose Kingdom it stands."Allegiance to a flag just symbolizes allegiance to what the flag represents.
Every disciple of Christ is part of the Kingdom of God. Only disciples of Christ are born from above.Every born anew believer has been spiritually transferred into Christ's kingdom, Colossians 1:13.

The whole context for the pledge to the Christian flag is to have a counterpart to the pledge to the American flag, a pledge created by a socialist minister. The Pledge of Allegiance (to the American flag) has all kinds of issues on its own.
And what does the red, white and blue "Christian" flag represent? The meaning is not just in what the creators of the flag intended, but how it has been historically used. It has recently become the flag of the antichrist, "Christian nationalist," movement. Disciples of Jesus should reject that abomination.
Every disciple of Christ is part of the Kingdom of God. Only disciples of Christ are born from above.
’They will know we are Christians by our flag…’Why have a flag to symbolize Christ, His attributes, and His kingdom? To witness.
I have never encountered that.Lots of atheists claim to be "committed Christians."
I have never used the word “canceled” in this context. But the so-called Christian Flag (who made that decision?) has been profoundly perverted in the service of Christian nationalism. Like the Nazi use of the swastika (an ancient symbol of harmony), there are now meanings attached to the “Christian flag” that undermine our witness to the unchurched culture.Just because something can be perverted, does not mean it should be cancelled.
Born anew believers have been transferred in Christ's kingdom, but not everyone claiming to be a disciple of Christ has been saved.
The style of construction in the ancient world was extremely labor intensive. It was not “free.” Moreover, the issue is something that is used as a symbol to REPRESENT THE FAITH, not a structure or technology. And if ancient buildings had natural AC - then thats what you should be using today.
why waste money paying for AC when it could be free!
Please note that in my view, a flag only becomes an idol if one pledges allegiance to it. Flags do not deserve allegiance. Jesus deserves allegiance. For citizens of the United States, our Constitution deserves our allegiance below Christ. The Old Testament prophets and Jesus have a lot to say about the superficiality of symbols and religious acts. Sometimes symbols, even ones given by God, need to be destroyed because they have been misused. It is unbelievable how many statements I have seen saying a flag is an idol or some other "un-biblical" item.

Do you remember what happened to the bronze serpent that Moses made? King Hezekiah destroyed it because the use/meaning of it had been corrupted (2 Kings 18:4), even though it had been directly and specifically commissioned by God and created by Moses (Numbers 21:8-9).
