I recently got a piece of (unwanted) solicitation from SotL requesting an offering. It seems by doing so I can become a collective pal of the late Curtis Hutson. While the flyer didn't go into any specifics it did request help "keeping the lights on" and also help "keeping the air on during the summer and heat on durring the winter" which I found to be odd statements. Does anyone know if they're going under or was the letter being melodramatic?

I'm sure the SOTL is not having financial problems. After all, they just recently bought a new web press and finished a building to put it in. And they have a healthy subscription rate, and are selling a lot of books lately, including new ones.

Probably an ad copy writer simply got a little carried away. It happens. If you don't want to give, simply put the flyer in that little round (or square) thingy by your desk.
