Looking for some answers. I've been accepted into the D.Th. program at SATS but looking for financing.

    Need suggestions.

    Thanks,

COntact your financial institution to find out what sort of student loan programs they have. You typically don't have to start paying it back until you're done with school, and the interest rate is rather low (not to mention, tax deductible).

    Money............

Oh, do we have to speak of the filthy lucre? Yes, this is a problem with schools that do not offer fat government stipends. Fortunately, SATS is inexpensive enough to pay mostly out-of-pocket, though you may eat more beans. Will you employer pick up any of the tuition? Unfortunately, everyone seems to be scrambling for tuition loans, scholarships, stipends, etc. just now with the funds dwindling fast.

BTW, kudos on your acceptance and best wishes. Hope you get Bill as a mentor and he works you very hard. Keep us abreast of your progress and impressions of SATS.

Kudos, TCGreek. Any thoughts on your area for a dissertation?

    Finance It

    Bro Greek,

Forgive me if I ask, but you did say that you were looking for financing. Then why not "finance it!?"

    Just asking?

I thought that. I know you'd be looking at a high interest rate, but even a signature loan (maybe you couldn't get enough this way) would be advantageous. A HELOC is an option perhaps. Do whatever you can to get the degree if you are certain it will help you. The cost of not doing it is probably higher than the cost of financing it.

    Costs of SATS?

Forgive the crudeness or rudeness of the question, but what does it cost at SATS "out the door?"
