While looking for kinesiology info I found a great site for exercising and fitness.
It's called ExRx.net http://www.exrx.net/index.html
Here are some of the tests:
Muscular Strength & Endurance
Flexibility
- Push-up Calculator
- Bench Press Calculator
- Sit-up Calculator
- Senior's Stand Calculator
- Senior's Curl Calculator
- Curl-up / Half Sit-up
- Strength Standards
- One Rep Max Calculator
Lots more on the site, I was on it for a couple hours.

One of the tests I tried was: http://www.exrx.net/Calculators/WaistHipRatio.html
This was funny, because I didn't know my hip measurement. My waist has gone down in the last year from 32 inch pants being very tight to falling down so bad I can no longer wear them. I figured since they could fall to my knees if I wasn't careful that my hips must be around 32" so I put that down along with a 31" waist. It said I was at high risk!!!
This lead me to measure my hips which are 37" and the result now is low risk. I had no idea, because I don't have a big....glutes...and I have no idea WHY my now 31" pants are also slipping down too low all the time. -
{Estimate your health age and life expectancy: select the most correct option. Type your age and click "Calculate".}

It said my life expectancy was 87.9; I’d love to be around that long if I was healthy, but that would be 15 years longer than any male in my pedigree, so I’ll believe it when I see it. It said my health age was 44:1; not sure I like that one.

Can not even come close to getting my lower arm high enough to touch fingers.
I already knew that I needed to get busy on stretching. I bought 3 large posters from the site which lay out the stretching instructions for each muscle group. Thought they would be a good reminder. I got them already and they are so nice I think I'l frame them before hanging them in the exercise room.

The vertical jump test was an embarrassment and a wakeup call.
