What we have going on here is inconsistent positions by crabby and a strawman.
Crabby says he opposes homosexuality but supports the gay pride movement. Much like he says he opposes abortion but supports the law making it legal so that women will not have back alley abortions. Those positions are inconsistent and cannot be reconciled with reason, logic, and Christian values or more importantly the Word of God.
And now he equates the wearing of rebel flags as hate. This is a strawman created by liberals with no foundation. And the op is a hit piece on white people and therefore it is racist. It does not surprise me crabby would post it.
First - what do you consider "extreme" Republician
Second - yes many Americans do view the Republicans and especially the Tea Party in that light (which the libs are unable to articulate) because the liberal media has told them members of the Tea Party are extremists.
Those who oppose everything Obama proposes and this has included ideas they had proposed for years.
Salty, I really believe part of the problem is lots of these folk have never known need and have always had their wishes catered to ... starting when they were kids. They never learned how to get along with anyone who did not agree with them totally and this in turn has resulted in a spoiled group who care more about their own individual wished than about the collective good of the population as a whole.
There are others who culturally are stuck in the pre-1964 Brown vs. Board of Education segregated culture. (Did you know the first "separate but equal laws" were passed in California in the 19th Century to prevent Chinese from going to school. Also in California it was illegal for anyone Chinese to go to a hospital in that era.) This is not surprising. There will always be folk who live in the past. There will always be folk to yearn for an imagined future. There will always be folk who are in the here and how. That is simply human nature.
The Tea Party folk are extremists. They care nothing for the good of the country. Their only agenda is their agenda and if they destroy the country in the process of trying to get it adopted they do not care. (See the quote below)
So does that mean that Liberals were extremenst because they opposed everthing Bush propsed?
ex·trem·ist (k-strmst) n.One who advocates or resorts to measures beyond the norm, especially in politics.
Obama is the extremest as some of his actions have went beyond the norm. His top 50 accomplishments
You stated "Those who oppose everything Obama proposes" so if a person agrees with just one of his
proposal - that Tea Party member would no longer be an extremest?
I actuall with with some of his accomplishments. - Not many - just a few.
(some of those can have unintended actions -ie # 16 - "boosted fuel efficiency standards"
require automakers to have better MPG - thats the reason some cars no longer have spare tires - less weight
= better MPG)
Crab - you also stated "The Tea Party folk are extremists. They care nothing for the good of the country." how many of the Ten Core values do you disagree with?
I have started a new thread on the Tea Party ( click here)
And, no, I did not oppose everything he did. In fact several years ago I listed ten things I liked about Bush.
I'd say it would have to be more than one agreement. After all that might simply be, "We both like toast for breakfast. But to remain in good standing with the Tea Party a person has to agree with their agenda, part of which is to oppose everything Obama suggests. That was, as was well covered in the press, agreed to before he took office in his first term.
Salty, I will have to look at the list of ten core items.
You've nailed it CTB. This is exactly why the death bell tolls for the GOP. It's been overrun by the same angry attitudes that are displayed on this board by people in the church daily.
And that anger, left unchecked and unrepented of will breed hatred from those in the GOP who are in and out of the church.
The same could be said of liberals who have been on welfare (food stamps, WIC, Medicaid, ect)
for generations.
And Zaac, sounds like you have some anger.
tell you what, let me come to your house take whatever I want so I can give to others in need - would that be ok?
What branch of the Tea Party is Alec Baldwin ? He's white, angry, certainly a bigot. Wht ignore him, if bigotry, without a partisan edge, is truly what you are railing against. I think yer being a phony.
