I don't have the link but saw where the mothers were pleading and crying for their children, saying the children were sick from sleeping on the floor and scared. Maybe I can locate it.
The Mothers did not address the allegations, all played the sympathy card appearing to use the same ploy imo. As if they were all "brainwashed' in what to say. Most people have diffrent reactions when their kids are taken away because they are different people. Yet all of these women reacted similarly. It's freaky, they appear so robotlike that I can't see how CPS would allow the kids back with the mothers. By the time the mothers become mentally stable, if they do, it will be months or years later. Some of the kids will have already bonded to their foster families (unless they go to group/receiving homes) so it's often best to let the foster families adopt them.
Poor kids....
Of course.
And DonnA offers three quality cheeses to go with your Whine
When the FLDS sect moved to Texas, I clipped the article.
I knew that the recent events would be happening in a few years.
I just wish I could find that clipping.
Recall I live in Oklahoma where Oklahomans took the 'hit' in 1995 loosing 68 people dead, some 500+ wounded, and loosing ten buildings in downtown Oklahoma City.
The perp was one who watched the Waco affair.
Waco, Texas was where the Federal Government messed up & Texas had to take the 'hit'.
The Federal Government had a full scale frontal assault on the Dividian Camp.
So this time I knew that Texas would handle it right.
I mean, if the State fathers of Texas are smart enough to get rid of their D-minus
Governor by foisting him on the rest of us -- they ain't no push-overs!
I haven't attacked you, the only time I have said anything to you is if you address me first, and I ahven't said anything mentioning your name. If you want to attach your name go ahead, but I'm not responsable if you do.
As a matter of fact, when I posted, I couldn't remember for sure if it was you or not from the other threads.
I read the other day where the mothers claim children as theirs then change their story as to which children are theirs, they keep switching out children. Children are calling more then one woman mother, some aren't sure who their mother is. They tried ID bracelets when they figure out who belonged to who, but the mother took them off them and the hildren and switched those around.
So I wonder, which mother wants which child, if they were to release them all right now, they couldn't, because they don't know who the mothers are, they won't tell.
I don't know about anyone else, but I believe I'll take the offer of tea and biscuits (with or without cheese) from about any BB member before I'd take any offer of "cookies and 'kewl-aid'" from some places like, - Oh, I don't know, say, The People's Temple at Jonestown.
I
say throw the Waco mothers... uh, I mean Wacko mothers in jail for child abuse, or at least into a mental institution, and adopt the children to normal American families.
For Squire Robertsson, Frogman, C4K, or Lady Eagle:
Can one of you Moderators (or an Administrator) move this thread, at least on a temporary basis, to a "sticky" and not let this thread, which is on a morally important subject, suffer the ignomy of getting closed in the next little bit, because it has already passed three pages?
It would help if we had one thread for links and discussion, to keep it all together. This is a subject that will continue to be discussed here for some time.
As long as folks keep posting, I'll keep it open.
However, if nobody posts for five (5) days or if this gets pushed to the second page, it will be closed.
I recently finished Carolyn Jessop's book, "Escape", and life inside the cult is surreal. There is (or at least in her "family") major neglect and child abuse. Teachers (before Warren Jeffs banned any school other than homeschool) and other "mothers" are allowed to "discipline" all children. They dont consider it abuse. Its godly discipline. And it doesnt mean a speanking. Bruises are almost always left after beatings. They are not allowed to hug their children. The way they mooch off the welfare system angered me as well. They qualify as unwed mothers. They get food stamps and other government benefits.
She described the YFZ ranch, (her ex-husband is one of the main leaders there, and her daughter moved back there when she turned 18)and it was written long before this latest deal became so public.
What left me most unsettled was that she made the comment that she was no longer in the market for another "God".
That makes me very sad.
Those poor people. And the children that think its all normal. I would hate to see another Waco, where lives did not have to be taken, and I know that in our country they have a right to practice their religion. But these people need to be stopped.
Well, C4K has almost a full-time job just riding herd on "Bible Versions"; and Frogman is currently working in OH, keeping him busy so that he doesn't have as much time, these days, to moniter as much as he does at other times, so this statement of Squire Robertsson should work.

Well, provided Lady Eagle doesn't close it out of force of habit, and actually gets the messa... !
:D
I've heard a lot about the book and am hoping to read it soon.
There's a woman here in BC (believe she might even be a cousin to Jessop) who left the Bountiful, BC 'community' a few years back and wrote a book on the whole thing as well.
There are just too many similarities between these women's stories that send chills down the spine when you hear about some of the goings on.
We aren't hearing the other side of the story (that's the problem isn't it - takes months to deprogram brainwashed devotees so they feel comfortable talking to anyone).
Vile as this whole thing is, we need to hear the other side, so in fact, authorities have an open and shut case.
I sincerely hope & pray that authorities haven't compromised any legal rights.
There would be nothing more tragic to have all these children/women reunited, because 'someone' on the outside screwed up due to some small, legal technicality and the courts were left with no other choice than to order authorities to round everyone up and return them to the ranch.
Dare I say it, this might be Windcatcher's and others concern.
It certainly is mine.
