...who are all atwitter over the timing of Obama's response to the Underwear Bomber, were you equally upset in 2001 when Dubya was on vacation and took 6 days to respond to the Shoe Bomber?

I have no real problem with how long it took Obama to respond in person. What he said when he did respond was not noteworthy except to reinforce how remote the problem seems to be to him.
What I have a problem with is the disconnect that caused him to put out the idiotic first response through Napolotano and Gibbs that the "system" worked just as it should.
Shows he had his head in a dark place where it doesn't belong. Basically he doesn't have a clue how to fight this war, the main problem being that he doesn't recognize there is one to begin with.
He's going to kill a lot of Americans. Airline passengers can only protect the United States so long and so many times. -
I propose nudist flights for those who are worried about their safety.

2001??????????
We didn't yet have DHS organized then. The TSA was also being constructed. One should hope we'd be light years ahead by now.... 8 years later! Especially now that they have enough computers and man power to target even Christians who are fundamental, or ex-military regardless of honorable discharge or consider people as 'freaky' who support the constitution and desire public policies which return us to that faithful document. Something is wrong in the District of Corruption when our own citizens are more watched and documented as being suspicious...... but our laws are relaxed for illegal aliens and foreigners who hold passports and who have already reports on file that their activities are suspect.... and military political correctness gets in the way of assessing a Major who is already identifying as extremist or bizarre in his islamic beliefs and sympathies.... but is allowed into the inner circles of homeland security before he goes besserk and kills 14 innocents.... 13 unarmed soldiers and a babe in the womb!
Its not so much Obama that should get jacked up as the head of DHS. Absurd! Her poor excuse of an alibi when asked about it 'everyone did their job'. YEAH! Bite me! -
The current system of security is nothing but window dressing, and needless hassles for those of us who must fly regularly. -
DHS being organized or TSA being constructed somehow helps a President hold a press conference faster?
Both Presidents reacted too slowly...and they have nobody to blame except themselves. -
Rather, it is the tepidness of his response. (and to be honest, GWB engaged in more of that than was appropriate...but not as much as He Who Is Never Wrong.)
Also, as poor as GWB's judgment was in appointing officials to assist ("Brownie, you're doing a great job!"), Obama is worse. He has nominated a weak, incompetent, moronic, anti-American buffoon to run DHS, and she (I think?) is botching pretty much every move she makes. Napolitano should be fired, yesterday, but Obama hasn't the stones to do it. -
I think part of the situation is that when Bush "lagged" most liberals made a big deal of it. - But were quiet when Obama "lagged". Therefore the conservatives are complaing about the double standard.

Bush lagged for a few moments Obama lagged for days. The latter was appropriate. The former was born out of political wrangling.

Only in Obama's wildest dreams could he make me all "atwitter".
Sorry, MP. Your OP just made me laugh. "All atwitter" is a very common phrase around my neck of the woods that means the love bug has bitten you pretty doggone hard! :love2:
Happy New Year, MP!
