"FREE" ink
I thought that would get your attention.
I recently discovered a way to get extra life from my printer cartridge. I have an Epson 740.
My color cartridge had run empty, and the printer would not let me print, even on B/W setting. So I tried an experiment. I popped the color cartridge up (but not out), and put it right back in place. That let me go ahead and print my B/W page.
When I bought a color cartridge, I tried to install it, but the printer was showing a full cartridge and would not go into the "install cartridge" mode. I picked out a picture to print, trying to use up the remnant of ink, and it printed with a few lines in it. the next one was better, and so on. I have used the old color cartridge several times now, and it is still working fine.
Just thought I would pass this on.

Many of the newer cartridges have a chip in them that is supposed to keep them from running out on you.
Problem is, the companies idea of 'protecting' and our idea of 'value' are usually far, far apart.
