The question should be: "What did we do to defeat Mr. Obama?
I spoke with many people as to whom they wanted to vote for - when they said Obama, I would ask why - "Change!" but they never knew what changes he stood for.
When I gave a few examples, they could not believe it - but more than likely they voted for him anyways.

My thought, the GOP should have come up with a platform of their own and stuck with it. They even tried changed for a few hours but abandoned it for the myriad of other idea's. I think must people accepted Obama as a change from the last 8 years which I hope he is.
LB, that's a dangerous statement to make without specifying some parameters.
Methinks that in a couple of years or so (maybe sooner) you will be wishing for the "good ole days" of the Bush administration.
I would sincerely love to be proven wrong, and Obama turn out to be far less socialistic that he appeared during the race, but I'm not holding my breath.:tear:
This may be the first time a gay band has marched in the parade, but it certainly will not be the first parade that gays have marched and played in and I bet not all of them were closet gays ... just a guess.
I have no idea which band, but I'd bet that in any band of any size there are several members who are gay. As a matter of fact, the same would be true of many church choirs. Get a group of any size together and there will be one or more gay people there.
Gay, good word destroyed as time went by ... oh well.
Some bands may have gays in them. Dire Straits in their song "Money for Nothing," points that out. It's one thing to have a gay band member or two. It's quite another to wear it as a badge. "We are a gay/lesbian band."
Well, I don't think YOU have anything to fear from them.
Actually, I put them here because I thought The Village People were a bluegrass band...for the benefit of the other bluegrass fans here, like Ken.
 Maybe he can play them on his show on Saturday.
I guess we'll see as time goes on but Bush like Hoover will get the blame if the economy gets any worse. Well, with everyone but the GOP who are already blaming Obama and he hasn't signed one piece of legislation. It would have to get very bad for us to call this the "good ole days"...
