I disagree.
I think the REAL dividing line is between THEOLOGICAL conservatives and THEOLOGICAL liberals....Realizing that there are some who are theological conservatives who may be political and economic liberals (They guy in my church, for example) ...and some theological liberals who are political conservatives (Many Libertarians, for example).
We as Conservative, Bible-upholding Christians must not allow political movements to define what is and is not Christian.
The godless have no fear of lying, its whatever works.
Thus the Penn State monster was a child rapist, not a homosexual predictor.
So the dark side may enjoy a time of depravity, but at the end of the day, truth will prevail.
The Bible says the Truth will make us free.
Free from leftist propaganda, from agenda driven pseudoscience, and free from doctrines that redefine what the Bible actually says.
Homosexual behavior is sinful.
So is gluttony.
We all sin but believers should strive everyday to make no accommodation for the flesh.
Think that there will be 2 'fights" going on soon in America ! politically, as some want a Socialist type nation, others back to a real republic, that will be fought between conservative republicans/democrats, and their liberal counterparts!
Also fight forthe culture, morals between liberal and conservative christians!
1) No, not by the church. I believe the church is in the mist of what could be called the Laodicean age and will remain in it until the true church is removed which I believe will be very few in numbers.
I don't understand what you are saying with the rest.
I would remind you that Christ was speaking of His own creation. So I think that your philosophy is sound as long as you treat your own family with the same kind of love/crassness. If you have a daughter or daughters who have ever laid with a man outside of marriage and you speak of her as a slut or a "B" then I think you have every right to call them queers. However my guess is that you have NEVER won a single one of them to the Lord or even been able to get them to listen to the message if you refer to them as queers or any other derogatory name.
They, no different from any sinner, need Christ in reality, and in example. Whom do we strive to imitate? I don't recall ever reading about Jesus referring to the lost, He died to reach and save from damnation, with harsher terms than "sheep gone astray" and the like.
All I need do to remind myself of this dynamic is look in the mirror, spend a few moments in honest, self-evaluation/reflection to realize that any stone (verbal or otherwise) I cast should be directed at me.
Just a curiosity or two. Are only the "righteous" made in God's image? Or is that every human? I'd truly love to see how others think about those questions in relation to the op.
Would compare it to the beginnings of nazi in germany, as at first the Churches stayed quiet, let them pick on jews and others, but in the end, ALl can attacked by the party!
isn same way, if Christians here inAmerica refuse to get active to vote and to tell others/get involved in social.cultural wars, we will end up with a Govt that tells each pastor what to preach/teach, that we will have to heed the mandate to not offend, accept all faiths and lifestyles!
NOT saying the true believers will disappear, but that IF we do nothing, refuse to be the salt to perserve culture/society, than pretty much end up as isreal was in time of the Judges, "everyone doing wrong and evil"
