Ecclesiastes 3:1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
Ecclesiastes 3:15 That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which is past.
This is the Bible way of saying that history repeats itself and things happen in cycles. There is a very old superstition in the United States and it is based on fact. Every American president [except Ronald Reagan] that was elected on a 20 year period died before he left office, either by assasination or natural causes. And someone tried to kill Ronald Reagan but the bullet didn't kill him and he was saved in the hospital. You can trace this back to the time before Lincoln. [It refers to presidents elected, for example, in 1900, 1920, 1940, 1960, - that is what I mean by elected on a 20 year period. Note: The Bible calls astrology sinful to follow so don't follow after it. Nevertheless, the astology people say that the 20 year curse is caused by a certain planet being in a certain position at the founding of the country. President George Bush was elected on a 20 year period, 2000. The question is, "will history repeat itself, as in Ecclesiastes 3:15, and will president bush fall victim to the 20 year curse and die before he leaves office"? I suppose that there are many Muslim extremists that would love to kill themselves while killing president Bush. The religion Islam tells them that they will go to heaven if they die in a Jihad or holy war.
The legendary Tecumseh curse-a curse originating from the Shawnees after
General Harrison and his forces broke the power of the Native American
military movement in 1811at the famous battle of Tippecanoe, is
supposedly
the reason that 7 (almost 8) US presidents elected in years ending in
zero
every 20 years have died or been killed in office, not the position of
the
stars and planets during this nation's founding. Though some astrologers
claim to have found an astrological correlation between the position of
the
stars on the dates of the deaths of the pertinent presidents, I believe
Chief Tecumseh's brother’s "curse" is a more likely cause.
Tecumseh's brother was a tribal witch doctor and had a big ceremony when the curse was made.
Essentially the curse foretold:
" Harrison will not win this year to be the Great Chief, but he may win
next
year. If he does, he will not finish his term. He will die in his
office... and after him, every Great Chief chosen every 20 years
thereafter
will die."
William Henry Harrison, first president to fall victim to the curse.

Sure, the Presidents elected in 1840 (W Harrison - natural causes), 1860 (Lincoln - shot), 1880 (Garfield - shot), 1900 (McKinley - shot), 1920 (Harding - natural causes), 1940 (F Roosevelt - natural causes) and 1960 (Kennedy - shot) all died in office.
Don't make fun of such curses. The Bible has definite evidence that such a curse will come true, if the one causing the curse believes without a doubt that what he says in the curse will really happen. Joshua cursed the man that would rebuild Jericho, saying that his firstborn would die when he started to rebuild it, and his youngest son would die when he set up the gates. The Bible says that hundreds of years later this curse came true. Joshua 6:26 And Joshua adjured them at that time, saying, Cursed be the man before the LORD, that riseth up and buildeth this city Jericho: he shall lay the foundation thereof in his firstborn, and in his youngest son shall he set up the gates of it. 1 Kings 16:34 In his days did Hiel the Bethelite build Jericho: he laid the foundation thereof in Abiram his firstborn, and set up the gates thereof in his youngest son Segub, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake by Joshua the son of Nun. Also, Jotham the son of Jerubaal, (Gideon) cursed Abimelech, and the men of Shechem, and years later his curse came true. Judges 9:19 If ye then have dealt truly and sincerely with Jerubbaal and with his house this day, then rejoice ye in Abimelech, and let him also rejoice in you: Judges 9:20 But if not, let fire come out from Abimelech, and devour the men of Shechem, and the house of Millo; and let fire come out from the men of Shechem, and from the house of Millo, and devour Abimelech. Judges 9:23 Then God sent an evil spirit between Abimelech and the men of Shechem; and the men of Shechem dealt treacherously with Abimelech: From verse 9:24 onto verse 9:55 it tells of how Abimelech and the men of Shechem had war with each other and how Abimelech was killed. Judges 9:56 Thus God rendered the wickedness of Abimelech, which he did unto his father, in slaying his seventy brethren: Judges 9:57 And all the evil of the men of Shechem did God render upon their heads: and upon them came the curse of Jotham the son of Jerubbaal. The Bible clearly shows that such a curse will come true, if it is done with the belief that it will happen, without a doubt. Mark 11:23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. [Note the words, "whosoever" and "whatsoever". It seems that this ability is for anyone, not just Christians.] Old Tecumseh’s brother may have had unwavering belief when he made this curse. Nevertheless, Reagan is the only one yet that beat the curse and someone did try to kill him.) This is an example of sorcery, however. That heathen witch doctor, Tecumseh’s brother, was not a Christian. Sorcery does really cause things to happen, but it is evil and a sin.

As you can see, there is only a short time left to the George Bush presidency.
Will the curse hit him and will he die before leaving office.
Time will tell.

Any supposed 'curse' is already broken - as you pointed out by President Reagan. I put no merit in pagan curses.

In addition to what C4K has posted, let me add that the death of President Zachary Taylor who was elected in 1848 and died in 1850 from eating too much ice cream, also 'shoots' a hole in this, as only Presidents elected in years divisible by 20 are supposedly at risk, here, as well.
How about a 'better curse' over the last 60 years, which happens to be my own lifetime? 14 known assassination attempts have been attempted, at some level, on the 11 Presidents who have served in that office, with the exception of Presidents Eisenhower and Lyndon Johnson, although the one made on President George H. W. Bush occurred after he was out of office. Two attempts were made on both Presidents Kennedy, with one causing his death, two were made on President Nixon, two were made on President Ford, within a month period, no less, two were made on President Clinton, and two have already been made on President George W. Bush. A good 'thumbnail' short synopsis can be found here, where, although I seldom cite Wikipedia, I will do so here.

And these are just the ones we know about, with an unknown number stopped by good intelligence, before they actually occurred, witness the recent plot? against Sen. Obama, linked here.

Tragically, the originator of the first attempt on President Nixon, is also the perpetrator of the assassination attempt on Gov. George Wallace, which attempt left him paralyzed for life, and may well have affected the outcome of the 1972 Presidential race, as well, considering that Gov. Wallace was polling well for the Democrat party nomination, prior to his shooting. Sen. McGovern went on to win the Democratic nomination, after the injury to Gov. Wallace, who still won primaries in MD, MI, TN, and NC, from his wheelchair.

fortunately, bush carries a "lucky horseshoe" in his left pocket and throws salt over his left shoulder 7 times after knocking on wood and rubbing his lucky penny.
Yes, it's silly. But so was the OP. Roger nailed it. Pagan "curses" hold no sway, and are a waste of BB bandwidth.
(the people monitoring me from my TV told me that) -

The curse was broken after the 7th president to fall victim to the curse...

He wasn't killed, but his mother had her back broken for 7 years...
