His building of a coalition to remove Saddam Hussein from Kuwait is one of the greatest achievements in diplomacy in history and will be studied for centuries. Convincing nations to send troops to a war in the Middle East while keeping Isreal (mostly) safe and out of the fighting was masterful.

I considered him the most qualified man to be President in our history.

Except for his handling of Desert Storm, I don't really consider him much of a president, but I liked him, nevertheless. And I absolutely loved the down to earth First Lady.

RIP George. Barbara has been waiting for you.

I'm glad Trump is going. Juan was a POW but GHWB was a fighter pilot and a hero in WW2. Now he was too NWO and moderate for my tastes and he frickin' lost it when he said he voted for Hillary over Trump but he was an old man by then. Liked him better than his son in any event.

Bet Jimmuh's next, he is around the same age. RIP, Poppy.

Agree. Didn't he coin the phrase 'New World Order'?

    Agree. That goes beyond nevertrumpism.

Bush Sr. Blames Neocons for Ruining W.’s Presidency (my thoughts exactly)

Who knows, could be RBG! :D

He was "in" on everything in this world, a "Skull and Bones" type of guy if I remember correctly. He was born of "old money", the son of Prescott Bush. Went to war as the youngest naval aviator. Oil man, Congressman, CIA Director, V.P. and then President of the United States. A real patriot and RINO at the same time. His breaking of his "No New Taxes" pledge and then reneging on it cost him a second term. He had a good sense of humor. RIP President Bush and my condolences to your family.

Ah, the stories he could've told. Definitely a 'man of the world'.

Well, two things there, Tip O'Neal gave him a good snookerin on that tax deal, and, Ross Perot actually cost him his reelection, IMO.

    Agree.

Agree. I was actually fond of him. Had confidence in him.

His grandfather Bush was a master mechanic and an industrialist who worked his way up. His father was Prescott Bush, US Senator from Connecticut, who authored the legislation for the interstate highway system and who was a friend of President Eisenhower. His Grandfather Walker established the Walker Cup. He was a World War II military hero and went to war at age 17 as a combat pilot. He graduated from Yale. He was an all around athlete and excelled at baseball in college and met Babe Ruth. He left Connecticut and moved to Texas as a businessman. He entered politics. He served in many capacities at the highest level of national public service. He was a Christian.

Oh, that little man made me so angry! I've always blamed him for Clinton going into office.

By-the-by, I've seen the rudest and nastiest comments on social media about President HW. "Good riddance" and "glad he's dead" type of comments.

    I just don't understand people.

CNN, the Atlantic, and Vox used the occasion to attack Trump.

My Dad is a yellow dog Democrat and was going to vote for Clinton, I liked Bush (voted for him first term), we both were intrigued with the idea of a business man as POTUS, so instead of cancelling each other's vote we agreed we would both vote for Perot.

Agree. It's scary really. The Marxists have gained a lot of ground here 'while men slept'. We should all pray for revival, and that it's not too late to start instilling some civics knowledge and American patriotism in the next generation.

Liberal media outlet Slate goes after Bush's service dog.

Dogs don't live to be 94--who knew?

I was watching one of the Fox News shows and they had Dan Qualye on. She asked him what Bush said to him when he selected him for VP. The first thing out of his mouth was "he demands loyalty". Whoa!!! The Media acted like Trump was the devil for saying he demands loyalty.

Yes, scary. We need God; we need the Gospel. Desperately.

Perhaps the biggest myth to overthrow is the modern notion that man is getting better. It is evolutionary, yet as old as man’s fall. Still even many Christians buy into such nonsense.

They evidently have no understanding of the bond between a service dog and the recipient of his service. Six months is plenty of time for such bonding.

They're just taking the normal leftist cheap shot at an animal that can't answer back.
