    YES! First - are we talking about actually force marriage or arranged marriage?

    Could it be that parents know what is best for their kids?

    Besides, weren't there arranged marriages in the OT, including Adam?
    Going back to your "are you serious" there are some on this board that would say that abut the fact most here do not believe in women preachers. So its a matter of opinion.

    Ummm...just because something happened in the Bible doesn't mean it's normative. Polygamy is in there, too. Sometimes God, in sovereignty, allows injustices to happen for a time for the greater good of humanity. That shouldn't mean we don't strive for justice.

    And if my parents had picked the person they thought was right for me, I'd be married to the wrong person.
