Not if the ineptitude I witnessed in his committee meetings was normal...and I believe it was.

I just deleted 2 posts that were not acceptable based on the 30 day rule.
I will be monitoring this very closet for the next two weeks.

If you cant say something nice - don't say anything at all.

Aw come on Sarge! I just mentioned his support of a certain liberal agenda. The liberals on this discussion board would consider it a complimentary mention, a star in Mr. Lewis's crown, if you please.

BTW, how much longer must I be on this latrine detail?

Liberalism doesn't encourage generosity, it kills it. Conservatism fosters direct generous giving to good causes. More money in the hands of the citizen. Leftism is compelled giving to the state which funds things like abortion.

You are missing my point! Liberalism is giving freely. The problem with political liberalism is that the govt wants to give away MY money freely.
As Christians, we should give freely to our missionaries, our church, our friends in need, ect.
    You mentioned abortion -
on the other hand, I suppose many atheists do not like the military spending money on Chaplains - esp Bible Believing Chaplains.
Hmmm - Should the Denomination be paying for those Chaplains???

It seems like we spend a lot of time and effort pandering to fools. It might be a good idea to have Military Chaplains funded by their own denominations, like missionaries. It would seem then that they would be at liberty to preach more freely without concern for political correctness.

    Psalm 14
1.The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

Within the chapel - chaplains are free to preach and preform as they see fit.
For example - I talked to one Chaplain who believed in closed communion
Well, since their chapel was out in the boonies - and he was the only Chaplain assigned,
He thought it would be nice to have a guest speaker once a month- which always happened
on Communion Sunday and he would have that guest speaker, observe communion!
(normally the first Sunday of the month) He told me no one ever
    caught one.

Now, I know some have heard that Chaplains have gotten chewed out for praying in the name
of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
Within the chapel- and any chapel sponsored service - the Chaplain may pray as he sees fit.

Now, lets take a different situation. Lets suppose there is a graduation for the NCO academy.
Within this class there are Christians, Jews, Muslims and even an atheist. So the commander
asks the Chaplain to pray - but tells him NOT to pray in the name of the Trinity. (In spite of the fact
that the Chaplain will only pray in the name of the Trinity) At this point, the Chaplain is NOT obligated
to pray at that graduation. HE can not be ordered to do so against his beliefs. The Commanders
does have the right to have someone pray as he requested. So if the Chaplain steps out - he can reccomend
someone else or allow the Commander to find another chaplain.
