God spoke creation into existence.
Everyone knows that.
God breathed the breath of life into Adam and Adam because a living soul.
Jesus breathed upon the disciples and they became filled with the Holy Spirit.
The Bible is God-breathed - and the men who wrote the Bible were carried along by the Holy Spirit. [2 Peter 1]
If you are refuting a claim that NOBODY is making, then you are attacking a “Strawman”.
She was asking if you are beating on a strawman of your own creation, or are you refuting a real claim made by an actual person.
From your answers, I suspect that I will just wish you luck beating on your strawman and leave you to it.
The “WORD OF GOD” (in the Genesis 1 and John 1 sense) is Jesus Christ.
His “authority” is both innate and comes from the Father.
His power over His creation is manifest in his speaking reality into being.
The Word of God (as in scripture) is not spoken by God, rather it is “God-breathed”.
[2 Timothy 3:16-17 NIV] 16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
[1Ki 12:22 NIV] 22 But this word of God came to Shemaiah the man of God:
[1Ch 17:3 NIV] 3 But that night the word of God came to Nathan, saying:
[Luk 3:2 NIV] 2 during the high-priesthood of Annas and Caiaphas, the word of God came to John son of Zechariah in the wilderness.
[Jhn 10:35 NIV] 35 If he called them 'gods,' to whom the word of God came--and Scripture cannot be set aside--
The word of God “comes” to men ... it is not spoken by God.
Are you saying that nothing in the Bible is truly the “Word of God” with authority over Christians unless God audibly dictated word by word, to the person who wrote it?
If that is what you believe, then you are denying the authority of most of the Bible.
Breathing is never specified in Scriptural text to be speaking.
Heb. 4 Speaks plainly about the Word of God.
"Quick and powerful, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit ... a discerner of the thoughts and intentions of the heart."
2 Tim. 3 Speaks plainly about inspired Scripture.
"Is profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction, instruction in righteousness."
Identical and equal?
Does profitability equal quickness/ power/sharpness/piercing(ness)/division/discernment?
