The people who think that the Bible is frozen in time are generally those who think the US Constitution is frozen in time. They make the same error in both subjects. The writers of both documents gave the lawyers and judges authorization to write case law.

The Constitutional paper trail is in the legal case laws. The Biblical paper trail is in the Talmuds and other Jewish historical documents. Christians rule by myth, not paper trail.

The Christian myth - in the technical sense - is that Jesus "fulfilled" (word undefined) the spiritual obligations and nullified the administrative and ceremonial obligations and at the same time instituted a new undefined NT law that obligates everyone even if they never heard of it. Or did I get that mixed up?
