What do you know about GGBTS? Facts? Opinions?
I'm looking into their MDiv program at the Northern California campus. It would be a significant geographic move for me if I decide to attend there.

Stefan, if you are interested in training in a cosmopolitan urban environment, come out here. If you're willing to live in a fairly pagan, almost foreign mission field, environment, come out here. :BangHead: If you don't want to get you and yours outside your comfort/safety zone, stay home.

GGBTS Response
Stefan,
What the brother told you above is very true. If you want to "do foreign missions" then go to GGBTS in California.
They have just set up a PhD program. Dr. Rick Melick set it up. It is a great program and the overall academics of GGBTS should be great especially for cross-cultural missions. Dr. Melick and I just worked together on the Broadus project. He is a "Class-A" New Testament scholar.
I would highly recommend it. But there will be a culture shock and the cost of living is outstandingly high.

my brother-in-law just started at GGBTS this fall and he loves it. the campus housing is CHEAP for the area ($500 a month....1/3 of the actualy market cost) and he was able to pick up a part-time tutoring job making $30 an hour.
he loves the classes and according to him it is becoming a more popular choice for seminary training. he moved there from houston and there are several others from the houston area as well.
