I went to 9Marks and found two churches in San Francisco. One is in the Western Addition on McAllister between Divisadero and Brodrick. The other is in the Sunset District on Taraval at the corner of 14th Avenue.
9Marks mislocates both on its map. As San Francisco is a city of over 750,000, it's not unreasonable for me to have heard of neither church.

Which of the Fundamentals do you deny?

    1. The Inerrancy of Scripture
    2. Substitutionary Atonement
    3. The Virgin birth
    4. The bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ
    5. The imminent personal return of Jesus Christ

I think Martin can speak for himself.

That's not the type of fundamentalist I speak of.

I know you are asking about San Francisco, but if you also happen to be in AZ on a Sunday feel free to PM for suggestions.

What other type of Christian fundamentalist is there? Are there a list of different fundamentals?

    Hi everyone,
I'm sorry not to have been about for a few days and been the cause of an argument. I've been at the Gideon UK Annual Conference and my laptop ceased to function.
Thanks for all the suggestions! They are gratefully received. :)

I drive on the left, but have no problem driving on the right when we visit France, which we do often.

And I didn't either when I visited Osaka years ago. But, think metropolitan\urban traffic patterns. Which are not exactly sedate. US Highway 101 which runs south of the City, has a 65 mph\104 Kmph speed limit. I want Martin and his wife to relax enough to spend a goodly amount in the local economy. Remember San Francisco's unofficial mottos:
    • San Francisco - A Tourist Trap since 1848
    • San Francisco - We mine the miners.

In a PM, Martin informed me he plans on being in SFO on May 21. Looked it up on my calendar, turns out that the Bay to Breakers Race is happening that day. All the more reason to stay north of Howard and Hayes.

B2B is a cross-town race that starts on the San Francisco Bay waterfront and ends at the Pacific Ocean beach. It messes up north\south travel on the surface streets all morning.

This pastor, now in San Francisco, was mentored by John Yates of Falls Church, who serves with with Mark Dever and Albert Mohler on the council of Reformed fraternity The Gospel Coalition:

Get to Know the Rev. Kristen Yates | Churches for the Sake of Others: C4SO

Sermon and bio from The Falls Church website:

3/20/2010 The Rev. Kristen Yates, Deacon, speaks to The Falls Church from Hebrews 4:1-13

Followed the link below and came up with a question. Martin asked for a good conservative Baptist church. Why are you recommending an Anglican one? Why is Reformed trumping Baptist?

I missed that post. I read post 30 as emphasizing the Reformed aspect. Further, the senior pastor is female. Also, locally Episcopal churches tend to be of the liberal persuasion. I haven't any experience with the breakawayAnglicans.

My spiritual DNA's dealings with the Church of England ended in the 17th Century.

I had a splendid time at Hamilton Square Baptist Church yesterday and was very pleased to make the acquaintance of Squire Robertsson and his good lady.
There was a fine sermon on the Christian's joy in the Lord, taken from Philippians 1. Most encouraging! I recommend the church to any visitor to S.F.

Thanks for the review. We're sorry you wife was feeling under the weather.

As for, the rest of y'all, visit a mission field and come to San Francisco.
