It looks pretty cool ... :)

I'm just not sure about the idea of storing all my documents on Google servers... but it does seem to be a pretty good implementation. It takes a little getting used to the idea of using your web browser as an office suite.

Looks cool but I would be very careful what info I put on it.
Actually I would give it a miss. And I certainly would not put business info on there.
I think in the long run it will fail. Unless they offer personal secure certificates and that will not come free.
Google is a search engine, do not forget that! -
They are a lot more than a search engine now. Google Earth is awesome, along with Google maps. Picasa is a great photo management tool. Their acquisition of YouTube gives them an instant presence in online video. Blogger is pretty good too. I wouldn't underestimate them, although I agree, I wouldn't use Writely or Google Spreadsheets for sensitive work data.

And code gets hacked.
Google Earth is real cool :) -
I still can't believe they acquired YouTube.
Just two weeks ago, there were articles about the fact that YouTube has no money, no "presence," that corporations can go after for copyright violations.
I'm guessing someone's just waiting for the ink to dry before the first lawsuit hits. -

It is pretty amazing how Google just understands users needs and meets them with simple elegant solutions. Built-in version control and collaborative online document creation are pretty nice features.
