But you still have not addressed the fact that Gorsuch's spokesman and others said that he indeed did say what was reported. Please address fact.

You are wrong. It is not just Blumenthal, it is Gorsuch's spokesman and other senators.

    From: http://thehill.com/homenews/adminis...-confirms-his-criticism-after-trump-attack-on
    Dated 2/9/2017

President Trump's Supreme Court nominee on Thursday said through a spokesman that he finds attacks on judges "disheartening and demoralizing," contradicting Trump.

“Judge Gorsuch has made it very clear in all of his discussions with senators, including Senator Blumenthal, that he could not comment on any specific cases and that judicial ethics prevent him from commenting on political matters," former Sen. Kelly Ayotte (R-N.H.) said, according to Frank Thorp of NBC News. Ayotte is helping guide Gorsuch through his meetings with senators.

"He has also emphasized the importance of an independent judiciary, and while he made clear that he was not referring to any specific case, he said that he finds any criticism of a judge's integrity and independence disheartening and demoralizing,” she added.

    From:

President Trump’s Supreme Court pick, Judge Neil Gorsuch, said he was disappointed in the president’s remarks on the judiciary in a closed-door meeting with Sen. Richard Blumenthal. Mr. Trump has accused Mr. Blumenthal of misrepresenting his nominee.

Ironically, you're a lot like Blumenthal. You spread lies much the same way, subtly. (subtle floating of the Trump rape/assault stories, etc.) You're from the same mold.

Told ya this was going to get interesting.

Former Senator Kelly Ayotte, who is assisting Gorsuch’s confirmation, said in a statement that Trump’s Supreme Court nominee spoke generally, and not in response to a specific political issue.

“While he made clear that he was not referring to any specific case, he said that he finds any criticism of a judge’s integrity and independence disheartening and demoralizing,” Ayotte said.

This is in direct contradiction to Blumenthal's comments who made it sound like he was attacking Trump. Total misrepresentation, just like we're used to by Blumenthal. Stay tuned.

    No creditable link.

Of course it was not to a specific issue. Of course Trump's ridiculous comment is depressing and insulting to the whole judiciary and not to just one judge or issue. That was a given. That does not invalidate what Gorsuch said.

It's a general statement that, not connected to one rouge judge that everyone and the mother is criticizing. And we have no idea about the context of the statement. We have no direct quote. You're falling for Blumenthal's lies. This is a man who tried to make people think he fought in the Vietnam War by subtly misrepresenting statements. That's exactly what's going on here. For all we know, the judge was likely set up by being asked about something totally different.

And, thus Trump insulted all judges with his Tweet. I realized that as soon as I read it.

Again, please address the fact that Gorsuch's comment has been substantiated by others, including his spokesman.

Reportedly on Fox News Gorsuch did not deny saying "demoralizing" and "disheartening" but did say he did not use the word "abhorrent".

Come on people, expect some bumps in the road! Gorsuch didn't like something Trump said/did and said so.

Oh no, He's an honest man!

Now it's our turn to pet a puppy.

    Wait a minute.

Thread title: Gorsuch calls Trump judge attacks "demoralizing and disheartening".
Your post quoting Ayotte: Criticism of judge's integrity is "demoralizing and disheartening".

Your conclusion: Direct contradiction. Total misrepresentation.

Sorry, I'm not seeing it. Please try harder.

Just heard president Trump say Blumenthal misrepresented Gorsuch words without an explanation as to what he means by "misrepresented".

    So he probably spun it.

Some people need to stop looking at Trump as if he were some kind of sinless perfect man.
He's not, just ask our liberal brethren here at the BB.

Trump is learning the politico ropes. Transferable skills from the arts and sciences of deal making.

Let's get the judge into the SCOTUS.

The point was that making the black/white contrast was entirely irrelevant and extraneous in that context.
