The apology is worthless. She spoke her heart clearly concerning Israel in the interview.
She shows her ignorance of Jewish history and shows her hypocrisy as well. Her family is Lebanese and she is an occupier as well in a land that was taken by force.
By her standards, the USA is an occupier and therefore all the immigrants should get out and let the Indians have their land back.
She obviously does not understand that it is God who owns ALL the world's land and gives it to whomever He pleases should "occuppy" it at any given time.
She is now damaged as an objective reporter and I predict she will be forced to retire.
It is pretty clear to most who know me that I am more of a contrarian than a 'Bandwagon jumper onner' but in this case I agree with the sentiments. She has the right to free speech, but she has totally shot her objectivity here. Forced retirement is a good option.
It was a foolish statement. I would like to attribute it to her ageing, but she was sharp as a tack in last weeks presidential press conference. She knew what she was saying the first time.
Looks like she is better at asking questions than answering them.
What she said was inexcusable. Imagine for a moment if she had said that the blacks in the US needed to go back home, and when questioned where, she said, Niger, Ethiopia, Haiti, etc...
To suggest that Israel and the land of Palestine does not belong to the Jews and is not their promised possession by God Himself, is ludicrous.
If Israel didn't exist would the US be in this international mess? Would the military-industrial complex have come up with a different reason to keep us at continual war for 60 years?
