CNN is has a story that hails Hillary Clinton as “woman of many firsts.”
This is too funny, so the fact that Hillary was First Lady of her home state, then First Lady of the US (just like Laura Bush, Nancy Reagan…) this makes her a “groundbreaker” or a “revolutionary” of sorts?
By my count her election as NY Senator is only ONE first, not “many firsts.”
The article also states that her education “paved the way.” Whose leg is CNN trying to pull here? No doubt her background is quite useful in her position, but it hardly “paved the way” to her political career. It was her marriage to Bill Clinton that “paved the way.” Why doesn’t CNN call this what it really is?
Looks like CNN is already starting to MANUFACTURE a great and glorious history for this woman in anticipation of a 2008 presidential run. But as with Kerry, you need to pick a candidate with the best resume for the job, not a candidate you think is the best MANUFACTURED resume. When will the left learn?

Hillary Clinton did very well as an undergraduate, and in law school, and was highly effective as a lawyer (you may or may not like highly effective lawyers, but she was very good at it)
I imagine her career and her husband's have been advanced by them being married to each other. Many people think she was more influential on him than he on her. -
It'a just a fluff piece and it's true as far as it goes. I didn't see much point to the article or to you objection.

The "coot" is filthy rich---and all of us Middle and lower class folks gawk and "ga-ga goo goo" over her---good lawyer---maybe---but no "horse sense" and certainly no Godly wisdom!!
A "Zero" in my book! -

Yup. She'll be the first woman to lose a presidential race. (Ferraro was VP cabdidate)
She could be the first woman to lose to a woman.(Dr. Rice) -
Hillary running would be a good way for me to vote libertarian or constitution party again.
I just enjoy watching the loons hyperventilate over the possibility that she might run. -
Galatian---do you know how to hyperventilate???

I don't even want to get a visual of Hillary as Prez. I've been looking to get out of New York since she become "our" senator.
I got a good job offer in Ohio...hope she doesn't go there after she loses to Arnold in 2008. -
Arnold??? As in
"No prob---blem-o!!!"??? -
Actually,
I think the story is probably referring to her inevitable win in 2008 for President of the United States. I think she has a very good shot of winning. She has something Kerry never had: Political Savvy. His three purple hearts may have worked time and again in Massachussetts, but the nation as a whole saw righ through the guy as could see he was a phony. He tried to make himself look more centrist while holding on to the far left message. Hillary would have listened to Dick Morris and abandoned the left during the campaign. The other difference is that when Hillary moves to the right, she will be able to make it look believable. John Kerry looked like a fish out of water going hunting all the time. Hillary is the Democrats savior now that the party is in such disarray (just as I predicted she would be). Hillary is sort of the Anti-Kerry. She is everything politically speaking that Kerry wasn't: A True National Candidate.

Wait a few seconds. And it happens. -
If Hillary is going to run for President in 2008 I would suggest she start investing heavily in Clearchannel communicationns, Diebold and ES&S now. But, she better hurry the Republicans have already had this idea.
After that she needn't worry about winning at all. Providing of course that she could "out bid" the competition. -
If Bush continues his next four years like his first, she may stand a chance of winning. -
