That is an example of a paraphrase. A very poorly written paraphrase, at that.
It is not a translation, but an interpretation of a translation.

I don't think the book is meant to rewrite Scriptures but it's a 'prayer book' with other stuff in it too. I don't see anything wrong with this as long as it doesn't REPLACE the Bible (and it should have been written by a person who really knows the lingo. LOL)
