You claimed that the context was important for loving enemies but failed to show what you think it was. No sense whining...contribute or not.

It is one thing to be honestly deceived, and give our life for it, but another to recommend others do the same.

I don't believe you, regardless of whether you quoted Scripture. I say fighting for the wicked nations today is wrong, not a duty.

Which of your scriptures would we quote a little girl 5 years old, that lost her grandma and mom when a wedding was blown up by a drone, for example? Then what one would we quote her when the rescue workers were blown up attending the scene?? Then which one would we quote if she was later at the funeral, when IT maybe was struck in a drone strike also?? That is barbarism. Evil.

How about the kids they may have taken limbs from, do they count?

There are a few admins who do not best reflect the board's best interests. They delete my comments for being PROVOCATIVE, but ignore those comments that PROVOKED my provocative response. Plus, they result to trash talk talking and supporting personal attacks, based upon their predetermined bias towards certain members.

I give the Rev a hearty AMEN! He is right on with his concerns.

Let me show you what you just did.

(Bold mine). See what you did? You just said that you don't care what scripture says, you care more of your own opinion.

Now, let me school you on why the rest of your post is wrong:

Let's start with logical fallacies. Firstly, you're using the "appeal to emotion" logical fallacy. It has no bearing on anything, other than to garner support through sad puppy dog eyes. The situations you're describing haven't happened. You're inventing conjecture in order to win an argument.

Secondly, you're placing the onus on the defender, instead of its proper place of on the aggressor. If a man mugs me and I kill him, it's not my fault. It's his. If a person is holding a hostage on an airplane, and I have to kill the hostage to save the entire plane, the hostage's death isn't on my hands. It's on his.

If a country attacks another country, and some of the aggressing country's civilians are killed in the crossfire, their lives are on the aggressor's, not on the defenders.

What scripture would I quote that little girl? I'd explain to her why it happened. That evil men in her country attacked people, and to stop them from killing more people we went after them. But being the evil men they are, they hid like cowards among the civilians. And so, even though we did our best to make sure that no innocents were harmed, because of these evil men some were. Then, I'd make sure she had a place to live and food to eat. Then I'd get to sharing scripture; scripture about how Jesus loves her and wants her to go to Heaven and that she doesn't have to grow up to be evil like those men.

Let me tell you something. Firstly, I am doing my absolute best to remain civil, despite the proverbial spittle on my face from your comments. Secondly, the men who served with me in Iraq and Afghanistan did not account for a single civilian death. Not one. However, "civilians" were responsible for too many concussions to count, traumatic brain injury, broken bones, and lost legs. One of my fellow NCOs had to be escorted wherever he went because his spatial reasoning was so scrambled from IED blasts that he could no longer tell left from right and would get lost walking from our room to the latrine less than 100m away.

And what did we do? We chose the high road. "Innocent until proven guilty". So many attacks could have been stopped with a more aggressive stance. But we wanted to be the good guys. We were fighting a war not just for the country, but for the hearts and minds of the people. We wanted to convince them that we were the good guys, so much so that we often put ourselves in compromising situations just to err on the side of the civilian populace at the expense of our own troops' safety.

Our very first mission in Afghanistan, we witnessed a car wreck. Several families were in a pick up truck together, and it rolled off the road. We stopped and pulled security for our forces while our medic helped those he could. Unfortunately, a little girl had been crushed by the pickup and died almost instantly. A woman who I am assuming was her mother was screaming and crying. And who consoled her? We did. The US Army. The people you're trying to paint as the bad guys.

So, get off your high horse. Think about what you're saying. Actually look into the matter before spouting off ignorant nonsense and parroting liberal propaganda disguised as a "WWJD" bracelet. And face facts. We are not of this world. But we are sure as Heaven in this world. God gave us this earth and we are to be its stewards. And when I get to Heaven, I don't want God to have to ask me if I did everything I could to make the world a better place. I want to walk up to Him, get the nod of knowing approval, and hear "Well done".

You have posted this fallacy several times so now I will call you on it. This is what is known as the "appeal to pity" fallacy. How your hypothetical girl feels about this issue is irrelevant to whether or not it is the right thing to do that God would or would not approve of. Therefore the argument is fallacious.

Indeed it is an insult! ...along with ignorant and disrespectful!

False. I know Scripture so know you really have nothing. Bring it soldier.

False. It is true that drone terrorism by the US has done things like I cited. Address the facts, and cut the frothing.
Point was that sin is the aggressor in all modern war. It is not the Russians or Germans or etc. There are Christians in China and Russia and Germany you know. The answer to problems is not some racial war, or war on a nation with womd. The answer is to get right with God.
Absurd. If someone destroys a village, the excuse doesn't matter. Wicked men have no right to mass murder men.
That would be a lie, because regardless of the excuse it was the US in this scenario that dunnit. The evil men in question are those that destroy the kids and the mom etc etc. I say man has no right from God to do that at all.

There were millions killed were there not in the wars there and subsequent chaos that resulted? The guilt must be shared. Doesn't matter if you and your buds were all on KP.
He should not have been there. The horrors they inflict and suffer result from being there. There are spiritual forces that entice and make nations go to war. That is where the real battle lies. Killing kids won't help.
There is no answer to being in the wrong place fighting an unjust war. Bad things are all that will happen.
If you were there to help folks, go with the red cross or some outfit. Not with a force that blows em up wily nilly.
I can tell you your country has no authority from God to commit torture, and mass murder and nuke anyone anywhere ever. The Christians duped into supporting such things are useful idiots to the devil.

Speak for yourself they are not my heros or my anything. I try to learn from the great wars. The war to end all wars for example..ha. What a joke. I do not respect WOMD or torture or drone terrorism. My brethren are the Christians who also live in many of the places that wicked militaries of the world (not God, notice) destroy. My sympathies are with the kids and civilians.

When Christians witness to someone, like that girl, and try to help or comfort them, they should have an answer to her cries and questions actually. Why would she want to take Jesus as her savior if she thought He was partner in crime here??

Yes, you are allowed to speak like a self centered spoiled child who is ungrateful for those who gave their all so you could HAVE YOUR freedom. Even if it is the freedom to be disrespectful toward our country's heroes on a public forum while hiding behind a keyboard....

So if drone terrorism is not OK, how about torture? How about nuclear weapons?

Name calling eh? I do not have freedom. Only the freedom Christ gave me. You think Russia has no freedom, or Nazi Germany or etc? How do you define freedom? The freedom to eat like a pig on a cruise for a week? Or the freedom to have a baby not be killed by the mom and state? The freedom of kids to learn about Christ in school? The freedom to not engage in unjust wars...etc?
Heros don't kill kids. Don't cheapen the word.
