At least it doesn't fund abortions or illegal aliens.
They will all be reelected next year—if there is an election. Only those whose seats were in jeopary were allowed to dissent.I wonder how many of those congressmen just may not get elected next year?
There is no hope in man. There is still hope.
At least it doesn't fund abortions or illegal aliens.
Also, it looks like it will be easy to filibuster the bill in the U.S. Senate.
I'm glad they removed abortion funding. While I have mixed feelings on the bill, a clear majority of Americans support a public option that they can choose if they feel that it better suits them than a private insurance company.
Obviously unconstitutional! My concerns with the bill are that I think there is a liberty issue with requiring people to have insurance or pay a fine and in forcing insurance companies to cover people with pre-existing conditions.
With that said, this bill may be the best of both worlds. You get universal coverage while still preserving peoples' rights to choose their own insurance company. All in all, things are looking up for our health care system.

Sorry, I don't buy it. And it really doesn't matter if a "majority" buy in to something...if that "something" is unconstitutional...
And if your "concerns" aren't enough to sink the bill on its own merits, we have bigger problems than healthcare...
Sure...if freedom and liberty aren't important to you...things are looking great!
The Constitution gives Congress the power to regulate interstate commerce.
Trust me my concerns are great; I'm just also concerned with the people that I know who are suffering right now because of lack of health insurance.
Which commerce that goes between states. Insurance does not.
My insurance company isn't based in Florida. Is yours?
