Right, you have a top down system whereas we have a grassroots up system. Also, Portland could stop the riots without outside help or with help from the state of Oregon. I think there is legislation on the drawing boards to allow an individual to sue when the police fail to respond. Did you see where blacks went into Lake Oswego and bothered rich whites in restaurants? Congresswoman Maxine Waters started that stuff. It is a page out of Mussolini's book.

like here in the UK, the US has allowed far too many to "invade" the country, bringing with them their godless and lawless ways!

Correct, as the link mentions. And the word apparently stems from Hindi/Urdu/Sanskrit terms meaning thief, rogue, though the cult was a murderous robber gang. There is nothing inherently racist about the term in either those original languages or in English.

Here's another link: Thug | Indian bandit

LOL. That doesn't follow at all. It's admittedly bad here, but even worse there. Is your posting theme, "A trolling we will go"? It does seem to be the common thread running through your posts. :Wink

Really, Steven, and where did you get this from? The Oxford English dictionary says: "a violent person, especially a criminal". And, Websters says, "a violent or brutish criminal or bully". VERY appropriate for these groups like BLM, NFAC!

I got curious about the term thug myself, after reading these posts. Never felt the need before, it seemed self explanatory. First I wondered if SBG was baiting with it, by using all caps. Then Steven declared it racist. Surprised me somewhat, but he does tend to go off the deep end sometimes, sorry Steven, love ya man, but you go all in quickly. At any rate, when I researched it, guess where I found ANY reference to blacks. NPR. In fact they basically declared it as hate speech. So somebody wants it to be.......& it is. Just like the OK sign that we have used forever......can’t do that anymore, because somebody declared it. Probably our progressive, government funded ‘friends’ at NPR.

Excellent. I couldn't read past the first few paragraphs. One good find deserves another. It seems fitting to bring it up here.

Sir Peter Medawar, in his scathing review of Pierre Teilhard's "The Phenomenon Of Man", wrote this delightful sentence on the topic:

"Just as compulsory primary education created a market catered for by cheap dailies and weeklies, so the spread of secondary and latterly tertiary education has created a large population of people, often with well-developed literary and scholarly tastes, who have been educated far beyond their capacity to undertake analytical thought."

Ok, I retract my comment. His reasoning on NPR doesnt fly. I just believe what I believe wholeheartedly until people confront me with evidence. I am willing to back down fast when proven wrong. I think of it as a good thing to do since Proverbs teaches us that those that take rebukes well are wise. So, in all honesty, I hope everyone was like me.
