    I prefer to refer to it as stealth! But how else can you penetrate them in order to get them to realize the truth? Listen, everyone I speak to, in this area, is a Catholic ....mostly lapsed, so if you go with the common walking around Baptists who change their name to bring in Roman Catholics, then Im following their pattern, right?

    We'd love to see them come to church. I see this as not much different than your agenda to go infiltrate their ranks. No fear here at all.

    Yes & you could guarantee that I will do it. There are no guarantees that they will go to a "Baptist" Church, right? Sometimes you gotta be ruthless in order to serve the Lord.

    catholics in same boat as say Mormons/Jw, in that all of them see their church as being the 'true church", that they have Apsotolic succession going on, that they have extra biblical authorities to consult, that they have real gospel etc...

    Sad thing is that many catholics know what Bible states, yet mother church is greater than scriptures, as salvation not found in Jesus, but mother church!

    This is about brainwashing from the cradle through age 6, especially in a parochial environment. There is a certain mesmerization which occurs from First Communion and Confirmation. Been there, done that. I still remember how to do rosary after 60 years of not doing it.

    There are many nominal Catholics. It is easy to be worldly and Catholic. Just go to confession and mass on Saturday afternoon. There are many nominal non-Catholic Christians--they go to church a couple of times a year and put an x in the Christian box on surveys. In fact most so-called Christians have no inclination toward the holiness commanded by The Word of God.

    The Jesuits have created a fomentation against everything called Protestant. It is almost militant. See the oath of the Knights of Columbus.

    The Lord knows them that are His. He calls them out where ever they are for His own good will and purpose.

    Preach the gospel to every creature. The Holy Spirit will take care of the rest.

    Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

    Mother Church.....LOL, heck noooooo. BUDDY SIN & the capability to take a taste.....and if you like it, take the whole bloody pie & eat it. Thats what the run of the mill RC wants to do. With the door wide open to repent ....THEN SIN AGAIN. When the priest in the box tells you to do 5 Our Fathers & 6 Hail Marys & one Act of Contrition, he then also tells you to go and sin no more. Thats FUNNY cause nobody pays attention to that part. Sin, Go In The Box, Say a Penance, Get Absolved & then go out & sin again. The Confession Part, for those who dont know, is one of the steps you take in order to get grace to go to heaven. They are as follows (7): Baptism; Confirmation, Holy Eucharist, Penance, Extremunction, Marriage & Holy Orders.

    Catholics think Protestants (they include Baptists in that Heading) are Puritanical nut jobs. There is no joy in committing a sin with a Protestant......its dreary, dreary, dreary & Bring out your dead! And Baptists in particular are considered bizarre with all the self righteousness & tea totalers & being judgmental hypocrisy. At least they consider those Pentecostal types as off their nuts (there I agree):love2:

    Why did I just picture you rubbing your hands while evily cackling? :laugh:

    I think this is where we have to be really careful because we tend to start thinking that something that we do can cause them to come to Christ.

    Our commission is to preach the Gospel, not to infiltrate.:thumbs:

    Now you know you wouldn't go to Yemen and pretend to be Muslim.:smilewinkgrin:

    Calling people a liar whether by inference or directly is against the rules.
    Denying one's testimony is still the equivalent--accusing one of lying.
    You don't seem to know what you are talking about, so let me ask you:

    Are you born again? If yes:
    When, where and how, were you born again?
    The definition of a biblical church:
    "An assembly of born again baptized (immersed) believers who have voluntarily assembled themselves together for the purpose of carrying out the ordinances of Christ (baptism by immersion and the Lord's Supper), and obeying the Great Commission."
    --That is doctrine.

    "Doctrine" means teaching. The teaching that Jesus Christ died, was buried, and rose again, paying the penalty for your sins; a penalty that you could not pay, and requiring you to believe on him and him alone for salvation is doctrine, without which you cannot be saved.

    "Dogma" synonym for teaching.

    "catechism" a list of teachings of one's church.
    --Without teaching of correct doctrine one cannot be saved. You can believe but if you are not believing of the shed blood of Christ and his atonement for your sins, then you cannot be saved. The RCC does not believe this.
    Christ, His shed blood, His death, burial and resurrection and faith that allows someone to proclaim Him Savior and Lord -- that is what makes a believer.
    Therefore their "unbelief" makes them an unbeliever.

    You deal with it. The RCC does not believe it. Ask any Catholic if they believe in the doctrine of "Justification by faith alone."
    They believe in justification by faith plus works; and that is heresy.
    The tenets of the Council of Trent have never been rescinded.
    It was there that they denied the "heresy" of sola fide."
    Study the Catechism and learn what it says. Baptism does not save.
    To be a Catholic you must believe that baptism saves. It is called baptismal regeneration. If you follow the RCC then you believe what it teaches, right? Otherwise why are you going there?

    Would you faithfully attend a Hindu Temple and not call yourself a Hindu?
    Would you faithfully attend a Mosque without denying that you are a Muslim.
    You go to these places of worship because you believe what they teach.

    If the adherents of the RCC don't believe in the Catholic faith, then why do they go there? A Catholic is one who adheres to Catechism and believes what it teaches. A Catholic is not one who enters the church because he likes liturgical services and becomes emotionally satisfied. That is not a Catholic. A Catholic is defined by doctrine not by emotion.

    If you don't believe start a thread in the Other Religions Forum, and discuss the subject with the Catholics that post there. They will straighten you out in short order.

    Yes well.... I toy with the idea of it from time to time. They are like everywhere & the irreverence to God is maddening. But for the Grace of God go I (and I sincerely mean that!) :godisgood:

    I've been called a liar so many times that I thought the rule had been changed. even when I'd mention the rule, folks would still call me a liar. :laugh:

    Yes & you will be a man my son! Kipling

    For those clueless.....

    IF you can keep your head when all about you
    Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
    If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
    But make allowance for their doubting too;
    If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
    Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
    Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
    And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:

    If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
    If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
    If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
    And treat those two impostors just the same;
    If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
    Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
    Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
    And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools:

    If you can make one heap of all your winnings
    And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
    And lose, and start again at your beginnings
    And never breathe a word about your loss;
    If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
    To serve your turn long after they are gone,
    And so hold on when there is nothing in you
    Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!'

    If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
    Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch,
    If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
    If all men count with you, but none too much;
    If you can fill the unforgiving minute
    With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
    Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
    And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

    P4t, are you reluctant to give your testimony? To tell others how you were saved? It seems some on this board are, for whatever reason I don't know why?
    I am not questioning anyone's salvation. Are you saved? Yes or no.
    If yes, please tell me how you were saved. Give me your testimony. Share it with all. Glorify the Lord and all who visit the board by doing so. What a great way to witness and tell others about the Lord! I am not questioning anyone's testimony. I am asking them to share their testimony, and I have a good reason to do that.
