Interesting, because this illustration seems to be a take off on a classic cover of the New Yorker which ran in 1976:

How New Yorkers see the world. -
I think the 1976 New Yorker cover is a more realistic understanding of most New Yorkers' view of the US, than The Economist cover is of how China sees the world.
The latter cover doesn't give much credit to China for understanding the world. In fact, they think more critically than our current US leadership and sheeple.
