I was just wondering, with all of the "unchurched" in America, how many churches are in your area?

I live in a fairly small city (a little more than 34,000). We have a large "unchruched" population. When I count the churches (all denominations) there are quite a few. Most are Baptist and Church of Christ. But within a five mile radius from our courthouse, there are 84 churches.

Appears you are in the South. Up Noth, Id venture that the dominant churches (with most attendance are RCC) Then there are PCUSA, United Methodist, Episcopalian, 7 Dayers, Lutheran. Hardly any Baptist. and yea, there is quite a large & ever growing "Unchurched Population"

My personal observations are that most are disillusioned....at least, that's what they tell me when I ask them
