Same mantra has been sung in every war including the Revolution.
Oh yeah... a couple of guys who owned expansive plantations and had tremendous personal wealth.

I don't doubt there were genuine aspects to their actions... nor power to be gained. Just like now.

And you choose to ignore the mantra for a fleeting feeling of righteousness and revenge. Vanity all is vanity.

They were willing and prepared to give up their expansive plantations and tremedous wealth as well as their own lives to form a government of by and for the people. I'm sure they knew they would be heros while heading their rag tag armies against the worlds most powerfull forces that overwhelmingliy outnumbered them. Yeah man they had illusions of grandure didn't they.

And yet you can't even find the time to do alittle bit of research or read the elites own documents that prove what I and others say is true. Vanity all is vanity.

Nothing new under the sun, eh Poncho. Apealing to vanity is the best tool politicians or globalist or any other faction can use to move common peope to do thier will and it doesn't cost them a single dime.

Not concerned with feelings per se. Concerned with justice and protection... the things that godly men owe to their society whether by standing a watch or supporting those who do and the leaders who make those grave but necessary decisions.

I didn't say that they weren't noble. But there were certainly people like you who questioned their motives.

I have read much of the non-sense you spew and the "support". You find this grand, homogenous conspiracy... I find the hand of Satan influencing men here and there- sometimes in groups and organizations.

I simply see no evidence that all of these leaders you point to are part of some organized conspiracy.

    Lady Eagle,
It is apparant from some of these comments that the back and forth must have been furious during the 2004 election.

    ScottJ,
If you want to support the present administrations policies on this or that, that is your right as an American. To call Poncho's remarks "nonsense" when the evidence is right in front of your nose to the contrary every day, is at the apex of nonsense.
As for your flag waving rah, rah, rah, lets go get them in Iraq, (sing a verse of America the Beautiful while you are at it), I see you were born in 1964, too late for Vietnam, and probably too early for the Gulf War, so one has to conclude to ask you, what sacrifices have you made for America's freedom other than being a news report watcher. This is not a game or an adriniline rush, this is serious business.

Poncho's remarks are much, much closer to the truth than yours by any measure.

You represent why I have am breaking the habit of voting Republican from now on.

Oh, it was. Because I made it clear I was voting for the CP, I, like some of the others on here, was cyber-skinned alive. And, because I didn't fall in line supporting going to Iraq, I was called unpatriotic, etc., etc. Some people can't see that by NOT going to war and wanting our soldiers killed or their limbs blown off for a cause that is debatable, that is REALLY supporting the troops.

Perhaps I would feel differently if this present administration had done more to secure our own borders and used our national guard for national defense purposes here at home. My perception may be wrong, but I never believed the national guard was meant to serve in a war overseas. I thought the national guard was for home.

Anyway, I was told I was throwing my vote away, that I was helping John Kerry win the election, blah blah. Oh, & here's the clincher: I am a registered Republican, but I was called a RINO (Republican in Name Only). I was also told I should work from within the Republican Party for change. Well, I tried that and got kicked off the GOPUSA forums, LOL. But the SUPREME insult was that I was called a liberal.

I went to see Michael Peroutka speak when he was in town and I believe in what the CP stands for.

I personally don't like the CP. But I have my reasons, and they're my reasons alone, and not Gospel. Just like if someone else does like the CP, it's not Gospel.

I got no problem with anyone who votes CP, or any other party. It's a matter of personal conviction. Each person should vote his conscience. Not the conscience of their spouse, their pastor, their friend, or someone else on the board. But that goes both ways as well. In having the privilege of our own conscience, we must permit others to vote their own conscience as well. But we don't. We tell others that if they vote for a person of this or that party, or for this or that candidate, that they're voting is wrong.

This is one of the reasons I rarely, if ever, engage in those threads during election season, rarely vote along partisan lines, rarely get involved in political debates, and why I almost never reveal whom I voted for.

I'm not pointing the finger at LE, but during election season, there's been no shortage of CP supporters telling everyone else that they're wrong/liberal/etc etc. But, to be fair, there's plenty of that from other party members as well.

It comes from all directions, going everywhere. Nobody can claim persecution of one group over the other.

This is a neutral comment, but the concept that voting for a third party only helps elect the more
evil major party is not a position of logic or conviction. I have found that the argument is used when it suits in favor of the person wanting to win. For instance, if one were of a conservative tendency, and argued two years ago that a vote for the CP is a vote for Kerry, but kept their mouth shut in 2000 when it was quite evident that Nader votes in Florida swung the vote to Bush and gave Bush and electoral college majority speaks inconsistently. The point is that the whole concept is flawed. If enough people vote CP, then the CP wins and the reps and dems become an afterthought.

True. That concept comes from the mistaken notion that some have that the two major parties have everyone's vote by default and that to vote for a minor party candidate means that one of the major parties loses a vote. That is not the case.

My vote does not belong to any party and it does not belong to any candidate until I cast it.

    LE,
Wow, I think I can relate to a lot of the stuff you encountered. I didn't appreciate having my patriotism questioned because I disagreed with the Super-Ultra-Conservative Wolf Pack and as far as I am concerned they are as equally bad as any group of Liberals.

But at the time they weren't the super ultra-conservative wolf pack. They were a significant majority of the country. Scary, isn't it?

I never supported the invasion of Iraq either. In fact, before we went in I predicted just what we're beginning to see now, a civil war.

Bush not only catapults the propaganda but he catapults propaganda within the propaganda. He wouldn't even be able to identify the truth if he stepped in it much less speak it.

Y'all keep listening to globalist propaganda from the supposedly opposing factions of their totally controlled political parties and media and we'll all end up begging scraps from their fascist masters tables. If, that is we are fortunate enough to survive the current crop of crazies behind this administration.

    The original post...

Here is a news flash for those who advocate that we take the cowards way out and leave pre-maturely:

This is a war. And in a war...PEOPLE...WILL...DIE.

Why are people shocked that people are dying? I wish nobody where dying but we arent in heaven yet and in wars people die.

We are doing good over there. We are defending America. We are seeking to kill people who are out to kill us and other innocent people. We are making the world a safer place. We are ridding the world of scum in human form who are unfit to live in a civilised world.

To the claim that these are not the ones who bombed New York, remember what President Bush said...if you harbor terrorists you are just as guilty as the ones who bombed New York.

I shudder to think of what a mess we would be in right now if Bill "I never had sex with that woman" Clinton, or Al "he invented the internet" Gore were our President right now.

</font>[/QUOTE]First of all, it is NOT a war—it’s cold-blooded murder. We are NOT defending America; we are jeopardizing our very existence by making the United States the most hated nation on this planet. We are not killing people who are seeking to kill us nor people who have the capacity to kill us, but people who are no threat to us. The Bible calls that murder. We are not making the world a safer place; we are stirring up a world-wide religious war. The “scum in human form who are unfit to live in a [civilized] world” are the people who have chosen to invade a sovereign nation and murder its people. Several hundred times bush has stated that it is “in America’s interest” for us to be fighting in Iraq. And bush has made it expressly clear in his tax cuts whose interests in this country he has in mind, and it is most definitely not yours or mine, but the wealthiest of Americans whose kids are at Yale, Princeton, Stanford, or Harvard while other young people are dying in Iraq so that the rich can get richer and the poor can serve the rich.

Being an American patriot does not mean distorting the truth and making up lies to make America look good; being an American patriot means standing up for the truth so that God can bless America.
