Our brother's title might have missed a word, and here is his post:
I am not anti-war automatically nor do I promote environmental issues.
But it seems to me that if we completely changed our dependency on fossil fuels and only used corn based fuels or what ever then it would hurt the countries that support terrorism the most since they produce most of it.
The economical problems that would arise would be great in this country but it would be a better alternative to the loss of lives.
I'm not sure what other global impact it may have. But it seems that we would have in the end a greater economic benefit. Of course the oil companies would be scrambling to buy all the farm lands.
If we could get a guy to run for the presidency who would be willing to stand on this as well as reduce our national spending outside of military issues, I could vote for that.
I doubt it though.

One problem is we could not switch from fossil fuel overnight so we would still be giving funding to the terrorist for a while.

But, if we don't start, it will never become a reality.
Brazil has set a great ethanol example.
Let's look into what can be done here to get started -- now!
