How would you feel about Pelosi as President

Obama is a smoker and both of his parents passed away at relatively young ages.

Biden has had two brain aneurysms - and possibly more judging from the continual stream of verbal gaffes.

Pelosi would be only two heart beats away from the oval office.

Can we really afford the risk?

Huh? What are you talking about?

Regardless of why you wrote that, if something happened to Biden he would be replaced, or if Biden became president he would name a new vice president. Therefore, unless they both died at about the same time the idea of Nancy Pelosi becoming president is far fetched.

Google "Obama smoker"

That swooshing noise you heard was the satire going over your head.

No wonder I didn't know about it. Senator Obama quit smoking almost 2 years ago. Therefore, LE, the White House will not smell of cigarettes when he and Michelle move in.

BTW, while I was googling I saw that McCain also smoked until he was about Obama's age.

She has been the majority leader and in the Senate many years. She is not my first choice for the oval office but I wouldn't fear her presidency.

I agree. At least she would be better than having Sarah Palin in the Oval Office.

Maybe so but Obama might blast rap music from the white house and pimp out the presidential limo (I thought that was the funniest thing I ever read). Oh well, the limo could probably stand to be "chopped" and "dropped" with a new paint job. :thumbs:

Yeah, he needs to be introduced to bluegrass music. Maybe I will invite him to listen to my Internet radio show when it gets started. :)

Will the White House end up having boarded up windows, tall weeds, and a couple of broken down caddilacs in the Rose Garden?

Pelosi is in the house, not the senate.

Never know, he might replace the secret service with blank panthers...

What's interesting is how all presidents bring their own identity to the white house. Unlike the houses on our streets, the same type people don't replace the previous resident.

The Senate is technically led by the VP of the US. The De Facto leader is the Majority Leader of the Senate. Pelosi has never been in the Senate.

The House, being a lot bigger, is led by The Speaker of the House of Representatives, and the second person in the pecking order is the Majority Leader of the House. Pelosi has been speaker since Jan 2007. She represents the most liberal congressional district in the US.

I don't get it, how is she 3rd in the pecking order.

Never mind, I googled it and she is not 3rd. Speaker of the House is 3rd and she isn't even on the list;

* Vice President
* Speaker of the House
* President Pro Tempore of the Senate
* Secretary of State
* Secretary of the Treasury
* Secretary of Defense
* Attorney General
* Secretary of the Interior
* Secretary of Agriculture
* Secretary of Commerce
* Secretary of Labor
* Secretary of Health and Human Services
* Secretary of Housing and Urban Development
* Secretary of Transportation
* Secretary of Energy
* Secretary of Education
* Secretary of Veterans Affairs
* Secretary of Homeland Security
