A quote I came across many years ago: "A church without a pastor is a non-prophet organization." I don't know if that is necessarily true in all cases, but I was once a member of a local church that took almost 2 years before it settled on a full-time pastor. Later on I found out that one of the reason(s) for this long delay was that in this church there were some families who had "preacher boys" in these families & each one "Just knew who would be THE perfect one for this church. Turned out that this church choose someone who wasn't a member of ANY of these families---and that choice WAS (IMHO anyway) the one that proved to be THE best choice for that particular local church.:):):):Thumbsdown:Thumbsdown:Thumbsdown
