Marcia said:Do you enjoy being sarcastic, dan e.? It has no effect on me but it may have an effect on you or how others take your comments. :wavey:
I realize this Copeland thing may not impact what you mention, but I said what I did because a lot of people want(ed) to vote for Huckabee because he is a believer, not necessarily because he can handled the above listed things.
dan e. said:Sorry....but this does illustrate an interesting point similar to the "one-issue" voting controversy.
Doesn't that sound a little scary that people would vote based on that sole fact?
It's not just because of where you live, Marcia. I live in the south and I feel the exact same way. I don't even know a lobbyist personally.Marcia said:I think I was too harsh with you, but thanks for the apology. I myself have been sarcastic here on the BB so I can't really say anything to anyone else about it.
Is it scary that people would vote for Huckabee because he's a believer? Well, I guess it sort of is. But I'm so jaded about politics that I have hardly any feelings on the matter at all. I think anyone running for president is either already corrupt or will be. At the very least, they will have to compromise in order to do their job because they have to work with Congress, and Congress is in the hands of lobbyists. I think it's the nature of politics. Could be because of where I live. I think almost every other person here is a lobbyist.
