    The 2nd Amendment was not intended for hunting. Pretty sure it was so citizens could defend themselves from a corrupt government.

    Probably had nothing to do with corrupt governments. More to do with defending against the Brits and other European powers of that day ... as well as self-defense on the frontier. The country depended much more on the citizen-soldier in those days.

    Yeah, corrupt isn't quite the right word for it. More of a distrust of standing armies.
